It's not like they just put a band aid on his shoulder.
So then he shouldn’t be playing?

Hope mills shows up by play off time. Spurs really need his energy and 3 pointers.

Do Yall play basketball? You can't just be a good shooter. And by a good shooter I mean someone like manu who usually hits more than he misses. The way mills shot the ball last year is way above the norm and to achieve that level of skill takes hours upon hours of repe ion and practice. Mechanics have to be perfect and any break even a small one can throw off the mechanics which leads to missed shots which leads to lost confidence. Mills will be fine but not till next year after a long off season of work.

With expertise like yours I'm surprised you aren't coaching in the NBA. Tell me more...

Yup. He's been benched due to his defense a couple of times so hopefully he picks it up on that end as well.

Huh? Are you functionally re ed? You said you thought something more than rust was wrong with him. It's not. You just literally need months and months of practice to be where he was last year and he hasn't got that this year unfortunately. He'll be fine but not till next year. Seeing some balls go down may boost his confidence and put him on a hot streak but to be as consistently automatic as he was last year is going to take many many more months of work.

His arm was put back together differently. It's not the same. It doesn't work the same. He should be playing a lot to get used to the new arm. No telling when it will all come together.

If he's playing he's recovered no? Maybe not mentally or needs to learn how to shoot again I guess.

He's a shooter. I think if he gets time he'll come up big. I have faith in Patty. I do miss him just draining threes like last year. Cojo playing pretty well though. Patty may not get a chance.

I thought this was going to be an Xmas, SBM, SA210 thread when I first opened it, tbh.

I miss the old Mills too. Guy was a lightning rod off the bench.

Patty should feed his game from his defense, it should start here... on offense take what defense gives... important should be to build confidence upon defense, ease offense giving the ball early, make you open and available for your teammates

We may not see 2014 Mills until next season. Fortunately, Joseph has shown the ability to make valuable contributions of his own.

Mills has been back since December. It's April, the rust stage is over by now. Something just isn't right with him.
I understand what you said asswipe I just disagree.
The point being: rotator cuff injuries take a slight bit longer to come back from than you think. Rust stage is not over, contrary to what you might believe.

Recovery often takes longer than the SpursTalk medical and training team think it should according to their vast education.
This is the krew that holds our guys to playing their absolute best every game. News flash: Parker's probably not going to give you a 2013 WCF performance every series (25/10/4/2 on 53%). Mills probably won't play at 2014 Finals level very often (57% from 3PT). You have to realize the Spurs were playing at historical levels in those series. Give it time chicken little.

Day 204, spurs have a big winning streak. Rob is angrier than ever. What feeds this beast and his strange emotions? Why can't he enjoy simple life? Is the rare and mysterious case of male vagina strain? Looks like it.
