Sorry to nit pick. Two first round picks for Steve Nash. Nice move.

I was thinking the same thing..... Rondo I would imagine wants his money and wants to win, he won't win in LA. I'm still not sure Cuban is ready to give up on Rondo.... Carlisle obviously is, doesn't play him more than 25 a game and sticks him off ball majority of the time.
I believe Kellerman though, that Carlisle/Rondo spat I think ended his Mavs tenure. Then again..... Cuban makes the final call, apparently Carlisle didn't want Rondo and Cuban still brought him in. Cuban will do Cuban no matter what
Haaaaaarakiriiiiiiiiiiiii
Sign and trade Rondo for Randle and multiple first round picks tbh
Scurred![]()
Well, yeah!![]()
Clarkson follows up the rumors with 2points on 1-6 shooting
A clear " you" to Mitch and Co. I hope he intentionally sandbags and lowers his value so the Lakers don't get in a trade for him.
I think Rondo leaving is a awful move. Look what he has done for Dallas.
He needs to stay in Dallas where he can do the most good....He would
be wasted in LA...![]()
I disagree, Mavs are a one and done franchise, they don't need Rondo to tify them any further, his work in Dallas is done. He needs to sign for the Lakeshow instead, seeing LA be trash is far more amusing, IMO TBH.
You're such a snotty nose got little weasel...man....i would love to get in a boxing ring or MMA cage with you and BEAT THA OUTTA YOUR ASS...REAL TALK...
People who listen to you are nothing but dumb ass Fox News listeners....easily duped like the morons they are....so now that we're getting closer to an 82% chance of getting our 4th pick in the draft or sneaking up and getting the 3rd pick...you pull this bait and switch crap...now it's all of a sudden about our young stud teaching Mitch a lesson by purposely scoring 2 points.....nice spin job dip ....perhaps its about our young stud getting on board with helping us secure a top 3 pick since he's all but guaranteed through his play he will remain with the Lakers for a long time....
you Midget and the asshole you came out of....but all in all I have nothing bad to say about the Spurs..I wont Jinx it this time around....see you at the bait and tackle shop soon.face....
Haha, I know you're pissed because No-Jumpshot Rondo is coming to LA.
And why in the would Clarkson want to do anything to "help" the Lakers when they're going to bring in a washed up Rondo on a 4 year max deal, meaning Clarkson will have to ride the bench until he's 26?
Mitch's dumb plan is to bring in No-Jumpshot and either try to convince Clarkson to be his backup (won't happen, now that Clarkson has proven to himself that he can play as a starter) or use Clarkson as tradebait.
You know this is true, which is why you're so bent this morning.
Clarkson aint going nowhere.....he will be put on the all nba rookie team which means his stock will remain the same...and Rondo will not be getting Max dollars....he's a 10 mill a yr player for 3 or 4 yrs thats it...he will take it or leave it....I suspect he will leave it..Clarkson will be fine....either way since he's good and big enough to back-up both Kobe and Rondo....he will get plenty of playing time....
If we do this right we will let go of Jordan Hill....add Rondo for half of Max sign our coveted 3rd or 4th pick rookie (hopefully a low post stud) and sign a real max player like Gasol....we're back to coompeting with those moves....
You're the one fearful and hoping Mitch cant pull it off... ;-)
no ... to Rondo. YEs his jump shot sucks but it's his FT shooting that is teh killer. how many games are within 2 or 3 possesions with two minutes left in the NBA ...80%? IF so, a PG that you cant rely on to dribble the rock take a foul and knock down two FT's is worthless tbh. Elite HS PG's can do that . If rondo cannot he can't be a Laker I would only take him at less than $10 mill and he would have to prove to be healthy. Kobe respects what the "old" Rondo brought to the table (defense, court vision, fire) now it's spotty defense with one or two great passes a game. He is not worth max not even with jump in cap ... only real value if he can help lure a star to the lakers with him. Like hiring some star recruit's dad as an assistant coach in college.
If we can get Rondo on a 3 yr 30 mill deal i say do it..i might even go up to 36....i think he's better than what he's showing in Dallas....but no to max..thats like signing Dwight to the max..now look at how he ed the Rockets....
Dragic and Rondo are both overhyped players.....if its Max or nothing i say nothing....
Clarkson we should keep at all costs..he's going to end up being a Kobe like player....whom no one gave a real chance but ended up being the steal of the century...
@ people thinking clarkson is any good and not just the product of a tanking team
Clarkson is good. Great, probably not. Borderline all-star? Still probably not. I think the Spurs version of George Hill is his "upside" the Pacer's version probably his downside. We shall see. But I notice how negative you are on prospects especially Laker ones (you already deem a Randle a bust) ...do you watch a lot of Laker games, Raven? Not saying you are wrong you may be right ...just trying to figure out if you are a ty poster, troll or if you actually have a scout's eye. Do you care to elaborate on how you came to that assessment or are you just talking out your ass?
randle is clearly a bust, that much is obvious. as for clarkson, he's quite the type. Tall pg with score first mentality and bad long range shooting. That coupled, of course, with 0 D. He's 22, it's safe to say, he embodies the garbage time production type of player. I'm not going to say he's doomed or anything, but he's neither faster or more athletic or has better handles than the players he'd face as a starter in meaningful games. The moment he starts to shoot .400 from 3, i may decide to reconsider him. And yes i watch a lot of games, but lately i wasn't able to last over half of the second quarter, too much garbage time.
Ok not bad. Cant disagree on the shooting or score first mindset. I disagree though he is more athletic then a lot of guys he will face. Obviously not Westbrook or Wall but more athletic at least than most starting PG's from my POV (leaping ability/speed stand-point than plenty of guys). I stand by my comparison ... George Hill for better or worse.
Oh and way to early to say Randle is a bust. He and Embiid need to play before you can call that heck even Jabari despite having some moments it's to early to tell.

randle and embid are very different players, randle is an undersized pf with no jump shot. He is a decent weak side blocker, but that's about it when it comes to defence, he has nothing going for him against ed davis honestly.. add to that, that he already has bad foot injuries and the picture is pretty clear. I'm not going to say he is enver going to be a rotation player in the nba, but he really is a low upside player.. Just a very bad pick.
Again I think that is crazy talk so soon. Plenty of bigs have developed a jumper over time Karl Malone could not shoot coming out of college and later in his career was money with the face-up jumper (regular season anyway). HE may be a bad pick IDK if he is or not ...but neither do you. I give your props for taking a side and backing it up and if you are right I will be the first to give you credit. but with any of the injured rookies I think judging them is pre-mature. Heck Exum is not injured has been horrible and I wouldnt call him a bust ...yet.
in the draft you either go for upside, or you go for nba readiness. Well randle was supposed to be both, but very early it became apparent that he was neither. So he's a bust by definition tbh. You guys are gonna develop him so he can become the next dejuan blair and pay him 10per year in two years? Good for you guys
Exum on the other hand has plenty of upside but zero readiness, so he's not a bust just yet. With randle, you really don't have much to wait for tbh.
They already have a PG better than Rondo and yet they'd 100% start Rondo![]()
LOL, Blair was good in college but he was never considered the #1 prospect in HS (Randle was before Parker and Wiggins developed later on) and much of his success in college was as a upperclassmen vs. Randle who was the #1 option as a freshman for a Kentucky team that went to the NCAA finals. Again none of that means Randle will be good ...you bring up legit concerns. But again it's to early to make that call. Rivers was alos a stud HS prospect had simillar NCAA success to Randle and I woudl say he appears to be a bit of a bust ...but I have seen him play for more than a pre-season, one NBA game and a summer league.
