How could anyone follow a monster like this?

During the year 628 A.D., eight men from the clan of Uraynah, came to Medina. They became Muslims. While there they got sick. Muhammad prescribed a medicine for them: he told them to drink camel milk and camel urine. After the men got better, they brutally murdered the shepherd of the camels, stole the camels, and tried to escape. Muhammad sent an armed party of 20 men after them. They were caught and brought back to Medina. There, Muhammad pronounced their judgment: their eyes were branded with hot irons, then plucked out, their hands and feet were cut off, and then, while still alive, they were thrown out on the hot desert to die.

This is pretty much what I got out of those 30 books I read on Islam. This is how things really are. Anyone not seeing this has never read the Koran or knows anything about Islam. This is Islam.

So many books on the subject, so many dying over it. Just turn on CNN, and there it is everyday, something about some stupid BOOM, or a rhreat of violence from Islam.

How could anyone not get this?

I could post something diffferent about violence in Islam every day for a year and never post the same thing twice. It amazing.

.. 1Muslims are the fastest-growing major religious group, largely because they have the highest fertility rate and the youngest population. As a result, the Muslim population is expected to increase from 1.6 billion people (23% of the world’s population as of 2010) to 2.76 billion people (30% of all people in 2050). At mid-century, Muslims will nearly equal Christians – the world’s largest religious group – in size.

Basically the study is saying muslims are becoming muslims because they're brought up in it is the way I'm reading it

Interesting. I thought atheism was on the rise.
I know I am generalizing, but atheists do not have children at the same rate as Christians and Muslims.

The problem with being atheist is it sucks. That's why I'm deist. I prefer to have faith in a right and wrong "faith" based contingency.

Why do you think we see so much of this stuff all saying the same things? Dude, you have no idea how many video/articles are out there telling the same story, why? All of them are wrong?

What you do is no matter what I say it must be wrong, why? I'm probably the most knowlegeable poster here if we take into consideration all the things I know about and you fight it tooth and nail. Your...Avante Betting Tracker....was an epic fail, it didn't go like you thought it would, that didn't send a message?

I told you I hear/read about Muslims leaving Islam, well was I wrong? It's all over the place why not open your eyes, ok?

Educate yourself guy because I have about this, you look stupid trying to fake it.

Google...Why Are Muslims Leaving Islam......or shut the up, ok?
i have also googled "aliens kidnapped me" and found thousands of results. what do you think we should make of that? until you google "aliens kidnapping people"... STFU
    Why not question...

will leap from 1.6 billion (in 2010) to 2.76 billion by 2050,

    Why so much of this....

    Wake the up, ok?
i do question it. i question the entirety of the article since they dont cite any sources as to where they get their numbers from, or explain how they project them

i get it. you dont like islam. but that has nothing to do with its number of followers or why it's growing

again, you can never argue the merits. you just try to deflect. i challenged the accuracy of the links you posted, and explained why. you have yet to respond to those directly, instead make these sweeping general statements. avante, tell me why i was wrong in one of my specific critiques on the articles. explain why the articles with no sources cited should be taken seriously

I'm sure it is, but since it's not a religion, I guess it got excluded from this survey/study

i get that there is a rationale to deism, Chinook went at length about it back when he was a regular poster in the club. but yeah, i dont see some inherent advantage or why its "better"

Like I said... a contingency. I like to believe there's an afterlife of some kind, it is comforting for me personally. You and other atheists probably consider that a failing, I almost consider it one myself, but I gave up trying to outsmart my feelings on this subject. I'm happier believing in a greater power and that's that.

Well if you're not a Christian, where are you getting the notion of an after life from?

ISIS is the worst thing that could happen to Islam. Now the world will see it at it's very worst and the violence that is Islam will be on display more than ever. It will get to a point when no decent person will want to be associated with it. A time when calling yourself a Muslim is a bad word.

The Christian Bible is just as violent.

and I can't see someone like Hakeem Olajuwon ever breaking away from Islam because of ISIS.

Sure but modern day Christians seem to have evolved past any violent instructions.

Mohammad was a murderer, a tyrant. He had people killed. That wasn't Jesus.

Who today is killing people in the name of Jesus? How about in the name of Allah?

If polled right now today on the worlds most violent religion it will be Islam.

There are more violent Muslioms right now today than any other religion, only a fool wouldn't know this. I could turn on the tv right now and inside 30 mintes there will be something about violence and Muslims.
