The Big 3 need 5 wins to tie and 6 wins to become the winningest trio in NBA history, they have 6 games remaining, do they get it done?

Doubt it. We'll probably lose at least one game, and we may rest some of our Big 3. Next year, I think, if Manu and Timmy come back.

We already have the the trio playoff record, though!

Last year at that time, I was pretty certain Timmy would leave (and Manu with him). When we reached the Finals, I was like 99% sure.

This year, I don't see him leaving.

Isn't it 6 wins to TIE the Celtics? Manu needs to come back next year to break this record and make it UNREACHABLE (in today's NBA - maybe Durant, Westbrooke, Ibaka have a chance). Duncan seems like he'll come back - he's always said he'd play as long as he's effective and he's more than that.

Yes. It's 6 to tie. They'll have to come back next season to take the record outright, even if they win out this season.

I did the math by hand and got 5 to tie. Is there a site where you are getting that info?

Page 6 of the Spurs Team Notes before yesterday's game showed 533 wins for the Spurs trio and 540 for the Celtics trio: http://www.nba.com/gamenotes/spurs.pdf

At some point they'll update those game notes, but at the moment they still have yesterday's.

Hmmm, Ill check my math if this becomes more relevant and they win 5 or 6 of the remaining games

Spurs trio of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili now played the MOST GAMES IN NBA HISTORY as a trio (730). Passed Bird/McHale/Parish.

    No. Just regular season counts.

The Spurs trio already has the all-time winningest post-season record.

The records keep coming. It's incredible to see the Big 3 continually rack-up new records, but its bittersweet at the same time knowing Duncan and Manu will be gone within 2 years.

The Celtics' trio won 3 rings but the Spurs of Duncan, Parker, Ginobili won 5...which makes the record even more than amazing. Love these guys, the most successful Big 3 in the NBA history.

2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014. According to my calculation, 1+1+1+1=4. You might be right in a few weeks though

So good they landed Kawhi at the back end of their careers after carrying RJ/Bogans/Finleys corpse they would have been wearing down quick.
