One will have to get hurt before they come to their senses. Somethings just aren't for women, this is one of them.

As you totally ignore the videos showing refs getting ran over. So you'd want you mom/wife/sister out there? A football field is no place for a woman, simply common sense. Please don't tell me about female football, you know what I mean.^

Honestly, I also wish her the best. Up until she misses a holding call for my team....then I'll hate her like I do all the other refs.
Whoever is going to make the right calls. Like I said in the beginning, you're just trying to make a really big deal out of something that just isn't one.
Unless the broadcast specifically focuses on her, there's a very strong chance she will go very unnoticed throughout a game she is officiating, in the same manner that you don't notice any officials besides the lead referree

Too many officials get run over/knocked down in NFL games to put a 140 pound female out there. And I would bet there will be talk about "her".
It just makes no sense. The coachs are all men. 99.99% of the refs are male, all the players are male. We need a woman....because?
because through the officiating program and testing, the league thinks she's going to be a better ref than the other applicants. she's probably in better athletic shape than many of today's fat old nfl refs anyway. heck, you even posted videos basically showing how horribly unathletic some officials are. i think she'll be just fine. she's called NFL games before and college football games, and her size/frame hasn't been an issue

I once showed some pictures of my den over at The Club. There were my posters of sprint stars which I was, there were all my football trophies which I played for 20 years. Played in three HS alumni games. There were my weights. Now what fat is a sprint fan, weight lifter?

The NFL is freaking out over saftey right now, right? So they stick a little female out there. Now think ya dumb , ok?
I can see most of you really don't get this at all. It's the equal opportunity thing with you. Which has always been bull . Some things are simply male and female. A male Dallas Cowboy cheerleader? How about a fat female out there?

Who out there would want their wife/mom/sister out there, well? What happens when she gets old? A grandma refing an NFL game? When they tell her shes too old, isn't that illegal? What happens when she gets pregnant? What if it's....that time of the month? Some women get pretty cranky those few days.
The whole thing is ing stupid and it's obvious.

If Avante thinks it is common sense, then whoever should just to the opposite, which is what the NFL is doing.
I'm sure she and the NFL are well aware of the risks associated with a female ref. Some of those same risks exist with male refs. If she is making the correct calls a high % of the time the game will just continue to go on.
Saying she could get hurt or insulted by a player is thinking for the simple minded. Avante probably complained about Jackie Robinson playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers by saying they'll call him n***** or even rough him up in the clubhouse and he'll get hurt. Sometimes a trail needs to be blazed. Jackie Robinson seemed to handle the situation at hand pretty well. Maybe the female ref will prove to be a good ref at the NFL level, maybe not as time will tell.

Is it really fair that only men get to watch s and ass at these NFL games? Why not give the women some sexy male cheerleaders? Knock down those barriiers, open up new doors, it's only fair.
they get to see all the football players.
football has a predominantly male audience. this has nothing to do with an official who will go unnoticed on sundays
