Actually, I approve of him checking in early over the sandwich snob, tbh.
Spurs beat Curry, Westbrook, and Harden in a matter of days. Damn. Made them look average after a few tweaks on defense. Danny and Kawhi.

Houston can still do a lot of damage. Playing them without homecourt may not spell an automatic series loss, but it would certainly tire the Spurs out.
The real concern about the Rox right now is that they have a game in their house separating the Spurs from a 2 or 3 seed.
Add Cojo.
He did a nice job on D tonight anyways.
You know what man....I'll go with that. Sorry, I've got League Pass...so I can't see the postgame.
Said it for the longest time now....Kawhi is our best player. Bar none. His offensive game has really come to light the past few weeks and you're right...he's been on a tear. BUT....to play devil's advocate....the Spurs won the championship last year based on ball movement. (I think everyone will agree with that) Again, I've said it a million times....last year you didn't know who was going to be the leading scorer on any given night. Kawhi, Parker, Duncan, Manu, Green, Mills....and even guys like Splitter, Belly, and Bonner led the team some nights.
Kawhi is a handful for the opposition right now....we both agree. Get the guy the ball.....I'm all for it too. But it's nice when other guys (like Parker tonight) have it going early. Started off 8-10 IIRC. That's not a bad thing...Kawhi shouldn't have to shoulder the load every single night.
Yep. Cojo has surprised me the last few games.
That was a championship type win. The rockets stifled the spurs in the first quarter. The spurs looked lost but the changed their lineups and slowly shifted the game.
Good stuff.
That's okay...the rest of the Rockets will only score 50. Spurs win again.![]()
Spurs have the Rockets sussed! Stop Harden and they're done. Loved Manu and Cory trapping him, it was over after that.....![]()
It was more frustrating in the first half since the team was down for a good portion of it. I think in the second half he got his touches and the team looked like a juggernaut again.
Don't care if Enrique gets his shots up, especially if he's as efficient as he was today...but Kawhi needs to be involved too. That's what's worked and that's when the team has been at it's best tbh.
What can I say....I despise Errors.
We miss you in the game threads Splits...what gives?
You just come off as salty. You cannot stand TP having a good game at the expense of Kawhi.
It's like if TP has a great playoffs and the Spurs win the le....you would somehow be upset that "Kawhi's limelight" has somehow been diminished...and you wouldn't have the "I told you so" card in your back pocket. And the Rockets were on fire in the 1st Q....everything they threw up went in. That's somehow Parker's fault? Actually without TP in the 1st Q....we would have been down by 15+.
I'm all for calling TP out on his more than awful play for most of this year. He deserves it just like every other Spurs player would. Nobody here is above criticism...but on nights like tonight...the Krew needs to tip the ole cap and say good game Enrique. Good game Porker....
Jesus Christ....the guy shot over 70% tonight. That's who you want shooting the ball.....right? If Kawhi didn't miss his first 3 shots (correct me if I'm wrong on that) I'm sure the gameplan would have changed drastically.
Stop being reasonable.
Almost another NBA RECORD 12+-PT WIN IN 9 GAMES.:
The krew exhibits a level of absurdity that is unparalleled. We've almost started getting used to it because their hatred of Parker is so over the top. But just sit back and think about this for a minute. Tony Parker just dropped 27 points on 13/18 shooting in 26 minutes of play to lead us to one of the most critical wins of the season. And on the defensive end, no one went off on him. And these guys still nitpcick the exact timing of every one of his shots, the fact that although he did share the ball with Kawhi it wasn't at the exact right moments, the fact that other squads had runs of their own (thereby "proving" that Parker is totally useless and completely expendable), etc, etc, etc. The standards they hold Parker to have arguably never been achieved by any basketball player in any game ever. When Parker scores with unbelievable efficiency, they criticize his assists. When he shares the ball more and shoots less, they call him expendable and attribute the system. When he does both, they try and point out the flaws in the defense. When he does it against a good defensive team, they say it was just a regular season game. These guys will never ever give Tony one single benefit of the doubt. It just won't happen. We just need to understand how outrageous their agenda is (not sure what Parker ever did to them, but it must have been bad). The rest of us can discuss the game rationally and give credit where credit was due...tonight to Parker, Kawhi, Cojo, and most of the rest of the team.
If you ever want a break from the absurdity, just read the headlines or step out of ST for a minute:
SAN ANTONIO -- Tony Parker scored 27 points and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Houston Rockets 110-98 on Wednesday night for their ninth straight victory.
It's not that difficult to see, but sometimes I hear enough of Rob or Malik or daboom or Apo to almost start believing that, "wait a minute, maybe Tony really did have a bad game."

the problem is you got give parker all the credit when we win but when we lose it was the teams fault. stop being es and admit that he has been ting the bed lately. this is his first complete game in a while.
Bro, Kawhi is becoming our go-to player. He's been the best player on the team this season and I give him credit all the time. Same with Duncan and Manu and the rest of the squad. But usually I don't get to do that enough because I feel like responding to the misinformation and ridiculous takes/standards that you guys put out for Tony takes precedence. Maybe I should just ignore it more and move on, but a lot of times people begin to believe it. Like I said, sometimes I myself begin to believe it because you guys throw so much out there. I begin to ask myself, "well there are like 4 or 5 guys here literally saying Tony was a hindrance to the team tonight...maybe they have a point. His efficiency was amazing, his +/- was good, his defense wasn't bad, he distributed, ... but maybe I'm missing something. Maybe he was a detriment to the team."
What's up with that anchor guy on Sportscenter? He said Pop's act with interviewers gets old and he just said he doesn't like the Spurs but he respects them. Who knew these drones were supposed to have opinions.
did he really say that? who was it?
Robert Flores. He's your cousin or something?
Not sure but it's possible.![]()
Robert Flores is from Houston. Lifelong Rockets fan.
