Ya, that was one of the best stretches of basketball he has ever played in the NBA, tbh..
Great minutes..
played tonight..
The most important 8 minutes of his spurs life.
Awesome job in the 2nd quarter and first.
My reaction to Jeff's game tonight.

Great minutes..
Tonight, Bonner officially surpassed him as the worst player on the team, tbh.
Looks like the game has finally slowed down for him the past few weeks/month. Looks more in control when he has the ball and more decisive.
Yup..
I was impressed tbh.
Now at least he has something to be proud of..
I still remember him crying in the Suns game.![]()
Rebounds, points, defense...it was really awesome to watch, wasn't it? Good job Jeff!!![]()
You guys are delusional. He's a turd, plain and simple.
we've been too hard on him tbh, he's not that bad. he has stretches of solid ball and stretches where he looks like he has stones instead of hands. But frankly, he's better than josh smith.
Second highest +/- on the team. Was needed tonight given the number of fouls that were going to be called.
I agree but I was still terrified at the thought of Ayers closing when Diaw had 5 fouls late in the 4th Qtr.![]()
He's still terrible, don't get me wrong, but he deserves credit for the minutes he gave tonight, solid stretch..
He even caught a difficult pass and made a little hook shot IIRC..
Yeah his hands are still aweful, he bobbled some pass and I said he's got hands like russett potatoes. Now we call him Mr. Potato Head in my house.
Ayres is still the worst spur player, but you gotta give him credit. He was huge in that 8 minute stretch..
The spurs cut a huge lead with with him and bobo playing...Obviously you don't play him in the post season but give xredit where it's due..He helped the spurs get that 2nd seed.
He's only had one non game this year, and he averages about 2 of them per year, so he was due.
You'll are funny, he'll be the worse player again to ever play the game the next time he messes up. I'll always cringe when he comes into the game
Jeff Ayers outscored the entire Spurs starting backcourt -- in the biggest game of the year.
Don't give up, don't ever give up.![]()
Props to that dude. And props to Pop for knowing when to make the call.
definitely came in as good filler for fouls cause the way the refs were calling the game the bigs wouldn't have lasted long.
