Don't give a rats ass about his shooting tonight. LDN Verde was solid on the defensive end. It's much more problematic when Parker throws up a goose egg.
Couldn't make on offense, but that was one of the best 1 on 1 defensive performances of the season, tbh..

His D was solid but let's not kid ourselves, hack-a-smith played a big part in getting harden out of rhythm.
That, folks, is why you pay the man. What's better than having Kawhi to key in on the best player on the other team? Being able to throw Danny at him as well to either switch up looks or to let Kawhi freelance.
If he doesn't make an All-Defensive team this year or soon, it would be a complete travesty.

If Danny had been hitting some of his open looks from 3, the game would've been blown open early in the 4th qtr, tbh. Still, his importance on defense can't be stated enough, and he always plays his ass off on that end. If/when his shot is falling, he's just as important to our success as Kawhi, Timmy, Tony, etc.
We have 2 guys who should make the All-Defensive team (Kawhi and Timmy), 1 guy who should get some serious votes and might make it (Danny) and 1 guy who probably would deserve to be on it if he could ever make it through a season healthy (Tiago). Though in Tiago's case, despite being a seriously important defensive piece, he'll never get the blocks to get voter attention. But we have 4 damn good defenders. (And CoJo and engaged Boris, ain't bad either).
Back to Danny, he did a really nice job on Harden.
Pop and Harden's shot attempts (especially in the 2nd half) would disagree with you.
he was like 4-15 when the hack started and after that he missed like 4 shots and that was it.. in other words, he has been guarded really well by cojo and green after the first few minutes.

I almost yelled at the TV at one point because Pop was playing Belinelli down the stretch instead of Danny. Thank god he put Green in for OT.
He usually plays much better at home...I think he'll be huge in these next 2 games.

It did. Not doing a defense thread for this series, but I'm pretty sure Danny has straight locked Paul down the past two games. That last possession to end the fourth was terribly planned by Pop. Kawhi on Crawford and Green on Paul was the way to go.
His 4th/OT minutes were massive, especially on D..only shot Paul made was that miracle 3 IIRC..
