Curry chucked his team out of the playoffs after this thread was created. He did what I said he would do. He shot well until the 4th quarter. They went into it up 15 in SA. Curry started the 4th by driving the paint twice in a row and scored both times, but then Gary Neal took a charge forcing a turnover on Curry. Curry then proceeded to settle for outside shots, and went on to miss 4 or 5 3's in a row while turning the ball over a few times in the process. He didn't stop taking the long range bombs, and the Spurs caught up and eventually won that game which decided the series.

The Warriors lost, player fan. They lost because Mark Jackson doesn't have the presence of mind to have an alternate plan. When Curry's outlier shots start to clank, they die by the sword. Danny Green is a great 3pt shooter, but you won't see him brick 5 of them up 16 in the 4th quarter of a playoff game. At some point Pop will go another route. It's not all on Curry, but it's indicative of Curry's production being overrated when he can't be counted on to close out big games. I think he also missed a game winning three last year when they lost to the Clippers in the 1st round. Not denying he's a great shooter, but great offenses aren't predicated on great shooting point guards. When the Suns had the best offense in the league, it wasn't because Steve Nash was a shooting prodigy and Steve could flat out shoot (not as well as Curry but up there pretty good).

Yep Spurs from 2013-2014 had one of the great recent runs. 2 straight finals Lost on a fluke shot then they eviscerated the Heatt next year ... Better run than the 2008-2010 Lakers, 2008-2010 Celts even better than the recent Heat runs. Only team better was the Shaqobe Lakers.
