Some consensus issues voters are having right now.

    - Boggie and Gasol are the only two legit center candidate. The former has played 59 games and the later has been so underwhelming the last 30 games

    - Butler, Thompson, Irving, Wall, all in the mix for third team..Lots of disagreement.

    - Tim Duncan is going to be in one of the teams..I haven't heard anyone that doesn't have him..The issue is, is he center or PF..he's clearly a C though..But I will personally have him as a PF..

    - No one know what to with Kawhi Leonard. Almost everyone I've heard said he has played as a top 5 player in the last month and half...the issue is though..Does he deserve a 2nd team despite the slow start and missed games. He will be third team for sure..

    IMO..

    Harden, Curry, Lebron, AD, Aldridge.

Westbrook, Paul, Kawhi, TD, M. Gasol

    Irving, Thompson, Gasol, Millsap, Cousins.

I cheated on my first team, but seriously..That's the five guys have played top 5 level basketball since the beginning of the year..

Voulgaris said he has Tim as 1st team C and Simmons says he may vote for him on the 1st team if they have him officially listed as a 5..

ya I know, but he's pretty respected among the NBA community IIRC..he'll probably get hired by a team once gambling is legalized with the NBA IMO..

No way Paul is a 3rd teamer he had been fantastic. He deserves 2nd team. Thompson should get bumped.

    1st-Curry-Harden-James-Davis-Duncan (Center)
    2nd-Paul-Westbrook-Leonard-Aldridge-M. Gasol
    3rd-Irving-Thompson-Butler-P. Gasol-Cousins

Butler is listed as a 2 guard but put him as a 3. Pau plays center but is listed as a PF. Duncan plays center quite a bit (almost exclusively). Marc has faded a bit.

Westbrook has had better season than Thompson, not a SG but felt right to put him with Paul on the second team.

Don't understand the debate. When Splitter starts,TD plays center basically all of that time (12-15 minutes) and when the game is close the Spurs go with him and Diaw. Diaw doesn't guard C's. Even when Baynes and Bonner start its basically the same deal.

    I love this list...

I had a hard time deciding between Butler, Thompson, Wall for my third team...Irving I was Positive.

duncan starts next to splitter/baynes... neither of whom are PF's really. you could argue Duncan is the PF on offense and C on defense, while Splitter is the reverse, but its weak. Duncan is a PF tbh

Tim is a PF most of the time. Otherwise the Spurs are playing two centers when Splitter/Baynes are on the floor with him. He can play both roles, that doesn't diminish him any more than Magic playing PG and center diminished him. We know what diminished Magic, but still.

Duncan plays C next to Diaw, but typically starts at PF next to Baynes/Splitter

Teams use 2 PG lineups all of the time. Spurs use 2 centers at the same time. When Green and Ginobili play together that's two SGs, same with Belinelli and Manu.

Duncan almost exclusively guards Cs (Jordan, M. Gasol, Mosgov, R. Lopez.
    .
Splitter guards Randolph, Aldridge, Dirk, Ibaka, Griffin

Duncan has a mid range game that makes him look more like a PF but they are both Cs.

The only PFs are Diaw and Bonner

The Spurs closing unit is Parker-Manu//Green-Leonard-Diaw and Duncan even then he is still guarding the center

you're basing everything on defensive matchups, and teams will often cross-match... we put Green on Curry, Kawhi on Klay, etc. Bruce would defend Dirk. you're ignoring everything about the offensive side of the ball. not sure how you could ever really call somebody a point guard, for instance, if you ignore his offensive responsibilities

It really should just be two backcourt and three frontcourt.

Either TD or Aldridge for first team, IMO.
