OP is a got that blocked me so someone quote this so he can see it.
Tim had a 29 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks line on Friday night against Houston. At age 38. I wondered how many times that happened in the history of the NBA. The answer is: not many.

Kareem never did this? Oh and your blocks are salty as for being blocked. Lol
My Timmy still dunking on Father Time....

IIRC that POR game was a 3OT game....
Not saying that it isn't still impressive at his age....but he did have basically 5 quarters to do it.
Timmy is like my favorite fantasy character, Druss Deathwalker. Doesn't give a about age, still murdering people like a badass even in his "retirement" age.

43 minutes played. Still within what some players play on a regular game. But definitely more than what he usually plays. I'm imagine it's hard to be spending so much time on the floor at age 38...
Yeah 43 minutes is a lot more than he would normally play. Again, still impressive for a guy who is older than dirt...
Player of his generation doing player of his generation things.
Awesome.![]()
I think Duncan, besides being great, is more compe ive than many fans realize. He has that in common with Jordan, a deep desire to win and the ability to do what it takes. It might be a character flaw on a personal level, but that intense compe ive fire is what separates the great from the greatest. We all know those people that have to win everything, even if their playing video games with a child. It can be kind of annoying in real life, but for athletes, that's what you want.
Lol mad at OP. Who's really the got here?
Hey Phyzik where did you get that statue of Druss? That is so cool and yeah love the books and I laughed when you compared the two father time..Like last game when Howard gave Timmy that cheap foul and Timmy stepped up to him and had the look you dont' want to uck with me son...
Thats awsome.![]()
that should be on Duncan's wall.
Were Kareem and Malone close to this good at this age? I remember Kareem really faded his last year, but was good the year before. Neither of them were still this good defensively.
Timmy may be in uncharted waters.
Kareem was 42 when he retired though. Malone was 41 or 42.

That's sick. Someone should send this out to Timmy. Too bad he's not on any social media.
I think there's an argument to be made that in his own way, Duncan is MORE compe ive than a Jordan or Kobe because winning matters more to him than being "the man."
Those guys were fierce, almost insane compe ors. But they also had such huge egos, that they would sabotage their own team's overall performance because they had to be the main option on that team. Duncan wants to contribute, and lead, but recognizes that it doesn't have to always be through usage and numbers of shots. He wants to win, period.
Well said!!
