First off this is not to compare/contrast/strike a feud between the two churches. I am a big fan of both, but more of a manu .

It's been still really vague to rank the top players of this generation when you get past 8, my list is:

I'm quite sure of this rank 1-8 although very arguable if a player can go higher or lower but more or less these 8 have been the best of this generation right?
    1. TD
    2. Shaq
    3.Kobe/Lebron
    4.Kobe/Lebron
    5. Dirk
    6.KG
    7. Wade
    8. Pau

Now we go past them: notable players

Pierce, Allen, Manu, TP, Nash, Kidd, Iverson???, Sheed?, Billups?

Just that T-Mac's peak > Manu's peak or Tony's peak

Yeah, Dwight. All he ever did was train under Hakeem and disappoint everyone with his post game.

    I'd take Yao over Dwight.

Orlando during that time was just a championship pretender.

Boston was without KG, Cavs only had a one man Lebron show and Detroit had dismantled already.

Durant, CP3 over Pau? Without Pau, Kobe would have been traded long ago tbh.

Where would you put your client and Enrique?

Without Artest too, that doesn't mean a thing. Pau is a very, very good player, but he's not more talented than MVP Durant or NOH CP3...

Not in the top 10. Probably somewhere after that.

Great list. I'd probably drop TMac off the list and replace him with Kidd. MVPau also merits some consideration, especially after he showed how phenomenal he can still be when he isn't paired with the biggest cancer in the NBA.

The whole range of options is pretty big, tbh... Vince Carter never won a thing, but he was always an amazing talent... somebody said T-Mac, and when he was healthy, he was amazing too...

Also sign me up for Kidd/Iverson... although those guys were at their peak in the early-Duncan generation...

iverson... overrated chump who is still glorified because of one playoff run where he shot 38.9% from the field during that entire postseason

Career-wise, do you put Ray Allen over Pierce, considering his weaseling to Boston and Miami for rings? He earned them...

That's actually slightly better than Kobe's 2008 Finals...
