The lack of responses should be telling![]()
Agree completely. I have been on this site for years, mostly as a lurker but the last couple of years it seems that the number of trolls have increased significantly. I stayed away for a couple of months until I realized that there was an ignore button. It doesn't solve all problems but my enjoyment of the site has increased significantly.
Why let posts on a message board make your blood pressure rise to begin with???
Just ignore it and move on.
This thread went just like I expected....
I can guarantee you it will be the case. I barely read Spurstalk this season. Now that I have removed the "noise" thanks to the ignore feature, I realize there's still a lot of great "signal" on this forum, and I enjoy reading it again.
Wasn't meant as a slam. Block people all you want, why start threads about it? You're making noise about making noise.
I made over $200k last year and ed an 20yo ice skater. Beat that .

Good for you. I've done that a few times over the years myself.
Hey when did he post that? I have him on nignore.
Or buy a Mustang.
The purpose wasn't to make noise about making noise. It was to remind a lot of folks and to let newbies know that they can control this plague. I doubt that many of our new posters know they have the power to close those people off by clicking on their name in the upper right hand; going to the control panel and then to edit function.
I probably didn't handle or explain the post too well and any opportunity to educate some folks on the forum was lost in the chuckles over your post, whether it appropriately described my post or not.
I know you think these pests will just go away:
"They treat it like getting game credits when they get a response like yours. If everyone realized it and ignored it, it would go away. There's always a bite though, and often it's from the "I'm too smart for this and you're trolling" fish."
But I think Cry Havoc's response to you is right:
"When no one responded there were over 100 threads made in a month about it. They don't care who's listening as long as they can listen to themselves talking. You ever seen a 5 year old who won't stop talking? They will yammer on all ing day without any responses or encouragement. Same here."
It just bugs me to see almost every thread completely taken over by idiots for page after page with the same tired posts. And occasionally they even contradict themselves: See posted thread on Duncan stat padding with a post lauding his great stats. When I saw that on the same page of threads, I decided to act.
But I understand your point, even though I disagree. I'd rather be pro-active and put roach powder out than hope they'll eat everything in the house and leave.

It's almost as bad as pretending to be banned.
Nowhere near as egregious as announcing a leave of absence tbh.
When the house has been abandoned by the owner, your roach poison is being used to make crack cocaine by the new residents.
Not on mine bruh
I have nobody on ignore but people should indeed do as they want, it is possible also that not everybody was aware you can block or clean up what you don't want to read, I guess this was OP's objective with this thread
Maybe we should start a kind of faq thread about the ability to ban people,, but then bump that thread in a passive aggressive style whenever someone is stinking up the joint with over aggressive player fan takes.
But also, if you survived xmas and sbm these brew guys are lightweights. Rob Diaz will figure it out, fkla will always hate, dabom is an alt.
Oh and lol op for "new people" no one here is new.
