Yeah. I like Davis, can't stand Westbrook. But we gotta do what's best for the Spurs...
If it is any consolation it will be fun to watch the Warriors sweep Westbrook out. The press conferences alone should be entertaining.

that ing knicks game...![]()
I want the Spurs to be cold blooded and snuff them out. One poster was right, they don't belong.
Sorry Pelicans, use this as fuel to get better over the summer and come back stronger.
Spurs should easily win, all the heart in the world doesn't overcome skill experience.. And championship grit on top of heart.
Seriously yall think the fukken Pelicans have more heart than our team.
Gtfoh
It's an easy game for the Spurs, just as easy as facing the Pelicans in round 1 of the playoffs would be. We'd take that matchup in a heartbeat. I feel bad for them, though. It sucks they have to play the Spurs for their last game, while OKC gets the Wolves.
If they pull off the upset, I'd be a little glad for them to make it and OKC to not make it. I wouldn't find it particularly devastating for the Spurs, but it would be nice to have home court in round 2.
If this was a playoff game/series, spurs would sweep them. But it's the last game of the reg. season effect that has me worried imho
Hopefully the Wolves have some pride and try to win the game.
Just beat the out of the Pelicans ... I hate that the Spurs always seem to struggle there (as if Monty uses his corporate knowledge against us).
And after the game Timmy D should invite Davis to training camp next season ...
Spurs by 11. No worries.
Last notch on the belt for this season. It's gonna be a tough playoff-like atmosphere, good chance for the boys to sharpen the road blade one last time.
Let's get it
They win = grab the two seed and guarantee home court over everyone but GSW and Cleveland.
They lose = will be a more difficult road, but will essentially be getting into playoff tempo earlier than other teams.
Atlanta.
Only GSW and the Hawks have better records at the moment.
But about the game, I think the Spurs will be treating this like a playoff game. They were pussy footing for much of the year when guys taking extended time off for injuries. I see Pop playing for the win and the Spurs should get it.
It's been a long time since the Spurs had a reason to win the last game of a season.
And a pretty damn good reason at that. If the Spurs lose they have a 47% chance of playing the Clippers in the first round and not having HCA.

I was thinking about the two teams I was scared of, not the teams who would actually have home court (my mistake). Pop would not lose a series to the Hawks.
Same. I'm concerned with the Davis match-up with no Splitter and with Pop doing his pretend-I-don't-want-this-game-as-much-as-I-do-in-actuality routine, so that if they do win, they'll have done so in his ideal way, so that he can come off as having stuck to his word of not overplaying anyone.
That made sense in a macro sense, but not in a one game scenario, when they're due 2-3 days off (probably the latter, considering they usually start on Sunday) and a good amount of rest in the next 7-10 days in general, considering how spaced out the first half of the first round is.
His ego shouldn't trump a month and a half of hard work that will probably be thrown down the drain if they lose.
Pelican fans ting on ST all because OP is a got smh
Davis is definitely worrisome, but I'm much more concerned with their other players. We know Asik gives Duncan trouble and Davis is the best player in the NBA arguably, but generally their perimeter players are mediocre; let Davis get his 50 points and limit the rest to 40. Unfortunately they tend to play as world beaters against the Spurs. Tyreke Evans has been playing well, Jrue Holiday is back, Gordon could also chuck in 30 points, and Pondexter/Cole can hit their threes at a large clip too. That to me is the most worrisome aspect of this game. In a playoff series they prolly only take one game, but in this single game scenario anything could happen.
Why would you care? You're a cavs fan![]()
Not a Cavs fan, but you are a got
That would be the ONLY upside to losing. Not worth it IMO because we lose all HCA in the playoffs.
Making fun of kawhi's dead dad
