Pop was a bit too quick with the Hack-Asik imo, the Spurs were clawing their way back in and the Pels offense was in shambles. Pop probably tried to take advantage of Asik while he was still in, but it ended up backfiring a bit since the Spurs forgot how to play defense when the hacking stopped.
Disappointing last game of the season, but the Spurs are still one of the hottest teams post all-star break and I think they've got a good chance against anyone in the league except GS, and the Clippers or Portland (2 possible opponents) aren't terrible match-ups for the Spurs. If they play Portland, Portland has been sliding and are hurt. If they play Clippers, the Spurs could probably hide Parker on either JJ or Barnes and get away with it, and the Clippers don't really have a back-up PG who could abuse the Spurs' perimeter defense (Austin dominating the Spurs is too embarrassing to even consider).
