I would like to see someone defend this..

Why is that when Parker runs the two man game between him and TD the spurs struggle offensively and are down in the first quarter?

    19pts today...

In the two most recent games..Houston and Pels.

Tony was the one taking shots in the first quarter but the spurs ended up needing a run from the bench to get back on the game...

Why is this always the case?

Why is it when they run the two man game to starts the game the spurs are always playing catch up?

if the Enrique fan boys xan answer, maybe there won't be any Parker thread.

This should be the only Parker thread in the post-season IMO..

    So lets talk bball.

He isn't even a good PG. He's an undersized SG if anything. He has no creativity with the ball.

I promise I won't post anything bad about Parker anymore, if someone can answer.

Why does the team struggle when Tony tries so hard in the first quarter...

Let's settle this once and for all...

Is Duncan a stat padder on an average team, like you said?

    There's something metastatic here.

    But it's not Parker.

The motion offense is predicated on the ball beginning on one side of the floor to the other side. A big that can set screens but still has the ability to get to the rim or shoot the open J forces the other teams big to follow thus creating a lane to the basket that can no longer be defended. This open lane must be closed by opposing players sagging to help defend. Players that are sagging on D now leave perimeter players open for open shots from the three point line. When players are sagging to help with D they also turn their backs to their designated man they are guarding thus losing sight for split second. Ball movement after initial penetration forces opposing team to now switch players defending. An offensive team that can now move the ball around the perimeter or can cut to basket has the advantage to get an easier look thus increasing field goal percentage.
This is one of many possible scenarios that can occur when the motion offense is utilized. There is even great reward for using this type of offense when the offensive team possesses a PG that has the ability to get to rim or make a pass to another open player. Fortunately for the Spurs, and thus one of the reasons Spurs offense has been able to evolve in the past ten years is that they not only have a PG than can do this well but they also have a sixth man with similar ability.

    Let's settle this...?

You gotta be Fckn kidding OP.

So it's still not clear to you, you needed to start a new thread just to make sure because you were wavering?
OP has had ambivalent feelings about Parker, he's just not sure, please help him with this burning question to which he just can't make up his mind...

Two Pink Cream Pies in the face immediately, self inflicted.
