I'm cosigning with this... I get up for work at freaking 4:30am. This is gonna suck.
I'm up at 6 and at work by 7:30 so unless I want to be in a coma I have to DVR the games..

Chris Broussard still picks the Spurs not only to win the series with L.A. but the West.

If I wasn't a Spurs fan I'd pick Clippers in 7. But I'm too much of a homer so I'll go with Spurs in 6.

No reason not to feed Leonard the ball every single time he's on the court, let him score at will and draw double teams sucking in the defense.

This could be big for Leonard, get his confidence up there, a big series against the Clippers would be great for him. Last time Popovich had Mills/Bellinelli guarding Crawford, he needs to stick Cojo on him instead, idk how many minutes Mills will play this series.
yeah feed leonard every time and wear him out
spurs have plenty of others they all need to share the ball
leonard needs to save some enegery for d

spurs do better when everyone is in double figures

If they are healthy enough (which they are) it won't be an issue for them, Doc will play his starters +40min easy...

It's only the 1st round, if it was later why not, but fatigue isn't a factor in the 1st round

With Spltter injured, this is by far the worst 1st round possible...

Tony can't match CP's production anymore and Timmy will end up at best exhausted.

If DeAndre can hit his foul shots, starters plus Crawford will combine for 90% of total minutes (36 minutes on average across the board, with Paul/Griffin playing more). If not, Hack-A-Jordan is in play.

Clippers will be very hard to come back on as they do hit their foul shots outside of Jordan. If the Spurs get into foul trouble early in a quarter, I'd go with Hack-A-Jordan ASAP. Otherwise, let things play out.

He won't be worn out, if you give him the ball in the post he's going to have a mismatch almost every time.

The Clippers don't have anybody that can guard him physically, look at their roster. Barnes/Crawford/Red , all these guys don't have the size to guard Leonard, every other bigger player usually plays PF, everyone else stands no chance. He's too quick for BG/Jordan on the perimeter, just a bad match up for LA.

You put him in the post, he's going to get within 5 feet of the rim, that happens, they swarm him, or else he scores. They swarm, he passes out to a wide open man. Even if they do force him to shoot it and he misses, he's there for a rebound, Leonard is the best rebounding SF in the league, he's going to be able to grab them over Red /Crawford/Barnes very easily.

If they run everything through Leonard, Spurs will win.

    3. Clippers-Spurs will be ...

Adande: An instant reckoning. Six months ago this seemed like a possible conference finals matchup. Instead, there's a credible threat to end the Spurs' reign of dominance, or to prompt a Clippers shakeup after one round of the playoffs. Home-court advantage and stellar seasons by Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan give the Clippers a shot, but what have we learned about premature reports of the Spurs' demise? Spurs in six.

Pelton: A bloodbath. There's a case that these are two of the NBA's three best teams. The Clippers and Spurs finished second and third in the league in point differential, respectively. The winner of this series will be the greatest threat to Golden State in the Western Conference. I'd pick the Clippers in any other first-round matchup, but because of the way things played out, I'm taking Spurs in seven.

Shelburne: Epic. This has the potential to be the best first-round series of the playoffs. It's also the Warriors' dream scenario, as one of the two teams that had a real shot to knock them off will go out in Round 1. I thought the Clippers could make a run this season, but the Spurs should exploit their lack of depth and win this one in six.

Stein: Incredibly harsh on the team that loses. I can't pick against the reigning champs after watching San Antonio's 21-4 finishing kick‎ from Feb. 27 to the regular-season finish line, but don't forget that the Clips uncorked a 14-1 surge of their own into the postseason once they got Blake Griffin back. Mark this down as yet another win for the Warriors, because it means one of the two teams playing the best ball in the West outside of the Bay Area won't see Round 2.

Wallace: A slugfest. What's the reward the Clippers get for playing their best basketball of the season the past few weeks? A first-round date with the defending champions. That's a tough draw, but if Paul, Griffin and Jordan are desperate to take the next step toward le contention, it's essentially now or never. Yes, it's a very difficult draw, but the Clippers are out of excuses. The clash of contrasting styles should make this the most intriguing series in the first round.

Wow. My WAG would be Warriors 95%, Clippers 53%, Grizzlies 70%, Rockets 65%. I don't think they're taking injuries into account.

Am I the only one who thinks Spurs are going to slap the Clippers? Their team kinda sucks. Spurs have the players to guard Paul. They have no real other perimeter threat. And their "DPOY" can't stay on the floor in crunch time because he can't hit a FT to save his life.

    Spurs in 5 tbh

Clippers in 4 or 5, Clippers talanted team with tough coach and HCA... Spurs not as good as last year, Manu and Mills half of what they were last season. Boris also not the same, belli and bynes getting minutes, right now our bench not so strong... also all season we seems to have bad karma( Pop's beard and that apalisoc poster), dosn't feel it's going our way, feeling like it's Clippers time...

Reggie Miller is a huge Clippers homer too. I expect him to be obnoxious as usual against the Spurs
