We were warned. But one day it started raining and it basically didn't stop for 5 months. The cool part is it was the biggest snowfall in 100+ years so that was a nice experience I had not had since I was a little child.
What really got me was leaving to school in the dark and when we go out it was dark again. Just ish. Fortunately my school was somewhat open (could sneak outside) compared to the first school I attended for 1 month before we moved. That was a new and entirely indoor school. Felt kinda like a prison.

As someone living in Vancouver now....you can barely notice any support right for the Canucks. No car flags, no enthusiasm. Tickets sold below face value. Probably because the weather has been great here and there are no expectations.
I will say nothing beats playoff hockey LIVE. 100x better than mlb, nba, nfl. Don't get me wrong I love all the major sports during the playoffs but the atmosphere in a playoff hockey game especially in a Canadian city is hard to top.
