Also, Dana is basically doing what Kobe does: gather crumbs from the feast that he's not part of. Kobe does it every year that he's not in the Finals or playoffs, gets his name in the media saying something stupid about something that's none of his business just so he can be talked about.
The crumbs exist because boxing promoters etc can't get their together.
Boxing is a great sport that self imploded. You have a fight between two fighters far past their prime making huge money and people are saying how good boxing is? How good could it have been is the question. There are so many fights that should happen that don't. All the good Russian fighters now in the lower weight divisions and people just run. Adonis Stephenson staying away from the best fighters... At least White makes the fights happen.

Look at the terrible Heavy weights. No one can touch the big Ukranian... Where are all the good fighters from the U.S.? Playing other sports that are not rife with corruption. Boxing is run by s , pure s who don't care about the sport.

the fact that your still using MMA=GAy to defend is a real indication of your sides strength. No one will argue that boxing is interesting (opinion) and that MMA is not obv more popular (fact).

What is settled is that MMA fighter>Boxer in every event but boxing and even then UFC has skilled strikers that could box, but the UFC is a contract based sport and boxing pays unless you got a name.

Quick name the names in boxing. All of them. All the stars. Don't copy paste.

You may not like UFC but it's definitely a better run sport. Their is no boxing league it's in a bucket that occasionally brings forth two equally interesting turd to fight. Boxing fan all high and mighty because the only "names" they got left are fighting soon. Big deal.

At that "guy" being an athletic freak and an NCAA Division I championship wrestler who also shredded the NFL combine. I guess football isn't a real sport either.

Yeah, I mean it's not like some guys win the le in boxing when they're too young to drink, right? Oh wait. Tyson won the belt at 20 in a sport that had been around for over three centuries.
Tyson started boxing at age twelve. Thats 8 years before he won a belt. There was no in between time spent wrasslin in the WWE.

And who said MMA wasn't a real sport? It's a real sport for guys that can't become boxers, and like to dry hump other men.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but is the UFC actually generating a lot of money, and/or is Dana White just exploiting the fighters as his slaves? The net worths of the biggest UFC stars of the past generation are pretty pathetic for fighters that are putting themselves at risk in every match, tbh..

There is a gigantic surplus of MMA fighters: American wrestlers and South American jiu-jitsu, not to mention the Asians and Europeans

Boxing is essentially just Latin American

Are people really trying to argue for the state that boxing is in because of one superfight?

Boxing used to be arguably the most popular sport in the country. It's in sad shape now. I love the sport but to pretend that it's doing well, especially stateside, is just laughable.

I'm speaking strictly from a UFC standpoint..

UFC was huge for a long time, it was really popular a few years ago, yet their primary headliners of the past generation didn't seem to make as much money as I imagined they made..Dana White looks like another Vince McMahon, tbh..

Probably cause they are replaceable and it only takes 1 freak accident to have career derailed like Silva.

What's the worst that can happen in boxing?

That's re ed, boxing is huge in Europe and Asia as well. Klitschko's, Carl froch, david haye etc.. sell out soccer stadium's on the reg. A fight between Amir khan and kell brook would easily sell out Wembley stadium in the UK.

Not in my experience. Europeans naturally use their legs more because of Soccer. I had some encounters 2 summers ago and guys throw kicks.

The real killer of boxing is football. Takes all the prime athletes of size leaving short people to box. Football takes the prime time tv slots so if you want boxing it's going to be late night on basic cable (yeah i know there's an exception).

Ufc is just a rival. Y'all on wwe like it's an insult. WWE makes money. UFC makes enough money to keep the lights on. Fighters don't make much but there are enough. It's your fault if you think UFC lacks starts, boo hoo.

The amount of money ufc makes is irrelevant until you can show that boxing outside of pack and floyd makes $. It's still a one time fight (and probly the rematch lol $ on the table) and a field of so so talent.

we'll never see a UFC fighter last longer than 10yrs at the top. It's too brutal a sport. You can't turn down fights or your out of the UFC. Boxing? LOL.

Pacquiao, mayweather, Miguel cotto, Canelo Alvarez, Amir Khan, Adrian Broner, Danny Garcia, Juan Manuel Marquez, Marcos maidana, Carl froch, triple G, sergey Kovalev, wladimir klitshko etc all stars.

if Miguel cotto and canelo fight it will easily out sell any ufc ppv that can be made.

Lots of old on that list. Lots of old.

And you got guys running from GGG and Kovalev.
Klitshko has absolutely no worthy opponents.

Amir Khan... Why is he on that list?

Only 4 guys i listed are old, tbh and those guys are all still on top of their game.

If triple g went up a weight class there would be tons of guys to fight him like ward and froch. there's no one at middleweight besides cotto and cotto has other plans like fighting a super fight against canelo. Sergey kovalev is coming off a nice string of wins against jean pascal and Bernard Hopkins.

Klitscko has one up and coming worthy opponent in undefeated american champion deontay wilder. Fight would be huge in Vegas.

Amir Kahn is a huge star in the UK

Boxing is a fighting art, and many MMA fighters utilize it. A good stand up fighter, boxer, can take out damn near anyone who doesn't get them on the ground. I think boxing is ok, but watching the small guys pop each other's arms and gloves for 15 rounds is re ed. It's like watching the old Gracie fights where Royce would use his gi to choke out an opponent after 10 minutes of hug ing on the floor wrapped up like a snake in heat. Yeah it's ing awesome technique and it's real life , but it's boring as to watch.

Froch is damaged goods imo and Ward has been injured and has not fought in forever.

Khan is a horrible fighter imo. Very fast and fun to watch him get killed once he gets hit.

Only guys that interest me are GGG and Kovalev.
