...is the Spurs boogeyman. Seriously, everyone is scared to drive at him and hesitate near the basket. We are treating him as if he's Serge Ibaka tbh.

What's particularly strange about it is that Jordan has never really affected the Spurs in the past, at all, tbh..he has had some great games vs. the Spurs, but this is the first time IIRC that he has ever had an Ibaka effect..

Pop needs to hack him more next game, though..

He played great defense tonight. The early blocks got inside the Spurs's heads.

When was the last time Hack-a-somebody actually worked? They won against the Rockets, but the lead shrunk when they started doing it on Josh Smith.

TNT showed a stat during the game where it said the Clippers hardly ever lose when he shoots 8+ free throws

I agree. He never had a great defensive impact against us so I thought he was way overrated defensively. I remember even Duncan having some success against him posting up when he usually struggles against players with the size and length of Jordan. I think those blocks in the first half by Jordan really got in the Spurs heads every time they drove the lane/near the rim.

Any athletic big we face and Tony decides the paint is off limits. Then were stuck with his inefficient mid-range shots. Need Cojo to set the tone for the rest of the team like he did against Ibaka.

Yeah, Clippers haven't lost when Jordan attempts 10+ free throws or something like that. That's usually cause they are up when teams start hacking Jordan. I don't think there has been any proof that the Hack-A-Shaq strategy actually works. Our offense was too putrid for it to have worked today anyways.

Hacking Jordan is the equivalent to TP's mid-range shot. It's not going to drastically change the game unless you do it a lot.

When you hack Dandre is because you are sucking bad, there is no need to do it unless they possess the lead.

Shaq always says he made them when he needed too, which is also saying that didn't work. One of the most overrated strategies in the book IMO.. All it does is make the game longer, kills your offensive flow, tells the players that they can't play defense, and gets the crowd going.

What they need to do is man up, drive the lane, and foul his ass out....

To me, there was nothing sadder in this game than the prayer rainbow shots. That's playground there. MAN UP, es...penetrate, move, crisp passes...get the open shot.
