We will win no doubt. Hopefully the refs don't us over again.
If we were going to lose Game 1, we did it in the best possible fashion. First, we regained our 3-point shooting towards the end, with Mills, Bellinelli, and even Green finally connecting on 3-pointers. Second, we lost in blowout fashion, which will only motivate our guys to play harder.
With two days off until Game 2, you can bet this loss will simmer in the Spurs' heads, while the Clippers will grow overconfident from the media kissing their asses all day long. Expect our guys to come out guns blazing in Game 2.

Maybe, but it's unlikely, tbh..
I predicted Clippers in 7 prior to the series, I think home team wins every game, unfortunately..
Officiating was pretty lousy. I remember Chris Paul falling down before he was even ran into....CHARGE ladies and gents!!
But yea, I don't think they destroy them, but I think they win
No amount of motivation will fix the glaring obvious that the spurs don't have an elite penetrator to the basket. That's the system that the spurs rely on. manu is 38 and Tony plays like he is 38. I said LA wins this in 5. I hope I am wrong.
Clips will win easily...Spurs will be lucky to take 1 game this series.
It's really hard to have any confidence with Pop's ed rotations and his insistence on running the offense through a washed up, fat PG.
We'll see. But they should have been motivated after losing the 2 seed and getting embarrassed by the Pelicans. I kinda feel like the mileage is finally getting to them. They definitely can improve.
terrible news
No one should look too much into Game 1 as it usually takes adjustments and familiarity to get used to an opponent. On the bright side, we played as poor of a game as long as I can remember, and we still had a shot to take the lead in the 3rd quarter. I expect Pop to make adjustments especially with them doubling Kawhi in the post. A lot of times, usually the teams that play harder end up winning and that was the case today. Clippers feed off that energy from the crowd and feed off Blake/Deandre's dunking. Once Blake posterized Baynes twice, it was game over.
We don't have Splitter which means Spurs would need a miracle to even sniff a series win.
Refreshing optimism from the OP. He's usually a pessimistic prick.
I'm still rather confident (60/40 we win the series). I think our depth will eventually wear the Clippers down, especially Paul, who always seems to have big game 1's and then slowly tapers off. And the FT bug (which bit us tonight) will spell doom for the Clippers at some point in a tight game.
Though Pop's rotations concerned me tonight. Beli had a good game, which invariably means more minutes for the worst wing defender in the NBA. And Mills needs more minutes. Then of course there's the French elephant in the room.
Clippers win by double digits again.
That's one call. They outplayed us all night.
I don't know about destroying, but I think we can play better and they can play worse. Getting the W would be enough, tbh
