Of course everybody had broken the box and has hit the panic button..tip your hat to the Clippers they came out with energy and a purpose. Made open shots and played surprisingly great defense. Clippers needed this game...everybody in the world knew that. Congrats

But now it's on to Game 2. Who needs this game more? Honestly? Of course we want the Spurs to win..but which team needs it more? We all know the cliche saying "series doesn't start until road team wins". You can make a case either way. But IMO this is a must win for the Clippers...I think the only chance they have to win this series is to go up 2-0. We will see..I'm just warning people don't freak out if Spurs are down 0-2..I think it'll be time to panic when we've lost 3 games.

    Thoughts?

Clippers, else they lose home court advantage. You don't want to go back to San Antonio and have to win there.

Game 2 is actually not a must win for either. But game 3 would be a must win for the loser of game 2 most definitely.

It is more important for the Clippers to win, lose home court advantage and they're in trouble.

It's rare for teams to blow a series after going up 2-0.

Going to be very very difficult winning 4 out of 5 against the Clippers.

As it is, Spurs are having matchup issues all over the place though I expect Pop to clean that up.

sure but 3 out of those are at home.

agree that Game 3 will absolutely be a must win. If Clips win game 2, Spurs must win to avoid 0-3 hole. And if Spurs win game 2, Clips must win to avoid Spurs going 2-1

Must win for both teams. Spurs can't afford to go down 0-2. Clippers can't afford to loose home court and the momentum from game 1.

The winner of game 2 takes this series.

Equally Important for both, For the Clippers its to keep the HCA for the Spurs its to steal the HCA for the series.

Clippers won't win in San Antonio so it's a must win for them. As soon as they lose at home it's over.

definitely clips they played the game of their lives and we still weren't out of it till the end. After that celebration if they lose game 2 series over.

If the Spurs don't get a better, smarter effort they will be done pretty quickly. I expect they will bounce back sooner than later. They have too.

Eh, if we split in LAC, and Split at home, we are 2-2 with a game at home left. So we could win game 2 and 3 and the Clips still steal game 4 and both teams would be fine.

I think it'll go 2-0 Clippers and then the Spurs will win both at home IMO..

Green will suck again in game 2, but he'll make like 80% of his 3s at home..

    I'd gladly take 2-2 after 4 games.

I just worry Crawford is gonna go ape all series. He's one of those guys who always kills the Spurs.

It's not necessarily a must-win, but it is a game where the Spurs need to find another gear at least and maintain it throughout the game. Over the past 2 weeks they have yet to play 4 straight quarters of good basketball. I think the Spurs need to show themselves they can do it, which win or lose, would hopefully shake the Clippers confidence some as well.

Spurs don't need to win game 2.....Spurs will win both games 3-4 and tie the series up......But I wouldn't be surprised if the spurs win game 2.....It all depends on how the refs call the game.....

Spurs need to win game 2. Clippers can afford to lose Game 2, but winning it puts them in the driver's seat in a big way and puts tons of pressure on the Spurs to win both home games.
