This board continues to amaze me on a day to day basis.

Let's check the who to blame game. If I understood correctly reading some of ST material of the day, Parker is the one to blame for the loss. I'm a bit lost on this one tbh... Is kawhi not the best player of the team, the FMVP, the top 10 players of the league who is supposed to lead the Spurs to a repeat ? Don't get me wrong I love Kawhi but why in he is receiving almost no blame after this loss. Why our washed up PG who suck ass and is not very important for the Spurs to repeat is being massacred ?

Now you have the so called empty stats stuff. So yesterday Parker has a terrible stat line and Kawhi a decent one. Now imagine the contrary, we would have the "empty stat" arguments but here for no reason nobody is using dat one after yesterday. One can wonder... with this 18 6 3 4 4 stat line, Kawhi has been the worst player on the floor with a terrible -21, Parker is not that far with -12 (fifth worst) but suddenly this is not a big deal.

Then you have the defense argument, watching the game, I'd say Kawhi did not have a great night defensively. I checked nba/stats to see opponent FGA / FGM that seems to confirm he had a tough night but again nobody seems to mention it anywhere.

Don't get me wrong, I think Parker played like like almost the whole roster except maybe Tim and Mills. I also think Kawhi as the Spurs best player should be the one to take the most of the blame as he will be the one to deserve the most credit when Spurs will win dat serie.

For the rest this site is nowadays polluted by personnal agendas and krew... nobody is capable anymore to have a fair statement or discussion about anything

Seems Matrix can be easily neutralized by sending a double team his way. Plenty of time for Pop to counteract.

What id be more worried about is Matrix trying to be the black Keith Van Horn. That and Barnes toying with him.

Oh and it would help if Kawhi could successfully post up when Jamal Crawford is guarding him imo 40 pound and 4 inch difference tbh

OP has valid points if tim or KL has that type of game passes are given. If it's Tony or Gino to a lessor extent, they get crucified by the faction of the opposing camp.

For all the crap Spur fans have given Laker fans for the "mis-treatment" or the lack appreciation for Pau (or Mvpau) Parker gets it much worse on here and he makes less that what Gasol got in his last extension ....very interesting.

    The problem here is that
    1. Parker fans ALWAYS credit Parker for the win or keeping us in the game.
    2. Parker fans NEVER blame Parker for a loss.

When is it okay to blame Parker? Because he's been dropping bombs for almost the entire season and I have yet to see 1 Parker fan blame him for a loss. Trust me, he was mostly responsible for last nights fest.

Tony has shown he can't score against Terry, Prigioni, and Austin Rivers. Now focus on how often he has the ball and the result is only ever a mid-range shot for himself.

If Kawhi is the best player on the team then tony shouldn't be on the court. You don't surround Lebron with non-shooters. Patty is the better option for a ball movement offense. We played many minutes with two non- shooting bigs Tim, Baynes, Splitter, and Diaw isn't always a great shooter himself. There isn't a place for Parker given all that.

There was some poor play from numerous Spurs, but credit should be given to Doc for agressively double teaming Kawhi. IMO, the game snowballed from there. It was like Pop didn't expect it and didn't have a good counter for it.

Individually, James Harden is worst/best, depending on your perspective, of looking to draw fouls, but as a team the Clips are number 1. Paul and Crawford, are constantly looking over their shoulder waiting to bait a defender to run over them. It's like the traffic accident scam when a guy abruptly pulls in front of you, then slams on the brakes.

Why are you lying tbh ?

I blamed Parker the whole year for a lot of losses, I blame Parker for this one like I blame most of the roster... now I've never seen you blaming your boy for anything tbh

Who is the most to blame for yesterday's loss, mvp Kawhi or Parker or Tiago ? who ?

Green was way worse than any other Spur out there.

Cojo was terrible too and so was Splitter. Sure Parker was bad, but not worse than those 3

It was a good game plan by Doc, but Pop will counter it in game 2. If DJ is double-teaming KL, he's not protecting the rim.

How this related to OP ? There are threads about general suckiness but now about double standard and who to blame for last night ? any thought ? or just general statement on how Parker sucks that has nothing to do with OP ?

Bull . You may include him but you never blame solely Parker. And Kawhi has the bed plenty of times this season. But unlike Parker, a bad game from Kawhi still means he got at least some steals and played good defense. Parker is useless if he isn't hitting shots which he hasn't been doing on a consistent basis.

Agree with Brazil. I think the plan was to attack CP3 and the only way to do that is with Parker. Unfortunately TP didn't have it last night.
