Championships are not won or lost on the very first playoff game. The Spurs lost, everyone played terrible, and they'll either make adjustments or not. This BS about assigning blame to a player is stupid. No one on the Spurs roster is single handedly responsible for wins and loses. This isn't Lebron's cavs or Harden's rockets. If they lose, its because multiple players played below their expected performances. So Parker may have had a poor showing, but you could say that about a lot of the other Spurs players.

Sure Leonard deserves some blame. There was plenty of it in the game day thread and that cute little Van Horn thread.

One minute Leonard needs to know his role and play within the system. The next he's supposed to demand the ball and man up. Which is it?

He certainly needs to react to the double team better but so does the rest of the team.

It would also help if Pop stuck with a game plan on the defensive end. He was guarding Red then Barnes then Crawford before Paul in the second half. It was changing every few minutes. Hard to lock in when you're being flipped like that. And that goes for the other guys too. Not just Leonard.

And more Green floaters. Money right there.

bad game but who on the spurs played better? Parker with his 4-11 shooting, 2 turnovers and 1 assist? 1 ASSIST FROM OUR STARTING PG. Tim had 4 assist, Kawhi had 3, Boris had 5, and Manu had 6. our starting PG had 1. Just 1. Uno for our spanish speaking audience.
No one outside of Mills and maybe Marco could hit a shot last night. Pop pulled Mills early so Pop for that.

    nice

so now I can go with your usual tools...

Kawhi gave up on the other end everything he did on offense, he was a traffic cone out there. On offense he stagned ball movement, kept the ball way too long and cost us 4 TOs... Dude is an egomaniac that refuse to share the ball... raw stats stagning the offense cancer

It definitely looks like he wasn't prepared, which you can put on him or Pop. He's never had a problem unthawing after being frozen out for a while, but the whole double-team thing is certainly new.
This ^ Basing on the finals last year, Kawhi broke out on Game 3, which was also on the road. The issue last year, if we recall, was him getting into foul trouble early and that just affected his whole psyche in game #2. The next game should be interesting.

you are right, it's Parker's team when we lose and Kawhi's team when we win despite having a cancer for PG

you're delusional or in denial. you sound like a kobe fan. Parker has gotten most of the credit on st at least for the spurs wins. He is rarely if ever blamed for a loss. If you claim otherwise you are lying.

I'm still wondering where all these "Parker fans" are that the Kawhi club seems to have an issue with, tbh...

    you continue deflecting

I'm not like you tho so I'm gonna answer straight up what you ask. Because Mills and Duncan were the only ones playing good bb, Parker last night was terrible and Mills played solid the 10 mn he was out there mostly on second unit. I would have loved to see him play more and eating a bit more of Parker's minutes.

Too bad Mills cannot play SF we could have used him instead of Kawhi drible TO drible TO stagning the offense tbh

what am I deflecting? you are pulling a chump and going in circles. parker had a terrible game last night and kawhi had a decent one. What more are you trying to get at? Parker had 1 assist and 2 turnovers.

This isn't about Parker vs Kawhi. This is about Parker being one of the worst starting PGs in the playoffs.

I see difference between people who are irritated with this schtick and the one's who love Parker tbh...and when you say he gets the credit for most wins on ST, that's simply not true at all if these 6 dudes out of hundreds are the only ones defending Parker because it seems like more often than not there's half the forum ting on him, another third annoyed by the constant Parker trolling, and the last bit are the actual Parker stans, which are not very numerous imo.

And that Brazil isn't a Parker fanboy imo, he's like me in that we're big TP fans for sure but definitely have no issues with acknowledging his play, tbh

Besides, a lot of the Spurs played like yesterday. Parker wasn't great but he was nowhere near the reason the Spurs lost

Based on what Kawhi had a decent game ?

    worst +/- of the team
opponent scored 90% of the time against him
    Ofrtg 85
    Defrtg 115
    4TOs
    ball movement stopper

but the best one.... NOW raw stat matter

LOL. Brazil is the biggest Parker fanboy on here. What the are you talking about? Do you not see the thread you are posting in? And when your starting PG goes 4-11 from the field with 1 assist and 2 turnovers while getting torched on defense I'm pretty sure he deserves the blame.

Lol, at your meltdown. Parker was the worst Player on the team last night. He chucked and bricked and got on all night. Kawhi was the only reason the Spurs were even close most of the game. Why did Spurs biggest runs come with Parker on the bench?

They came when Matrix was in the bench... The worst +/- on the team, an embarrassing -21

worst PG out there last night was CoJo and its not even close.

that being said. I have no problems with Pop giving the starting job to Mills as long as we win. (not a player fan here)

Tony has shown he can't score against Terry, Prigioni, and Austin Rivers. Now focus on how often he has the ball and the result is only ever a mid-range shot for himself.
Lol, he scored 27 on Terry less than 2 weeks ago (on 72% shooting). Please change your misinformed/misleading statement now that you have the facts.

He also scored 26 and 21 this season on Paul (but that was before the Clips got Austin Rivers).
