Kawhi is the only wing player to win in the past 11 years. In the past 30 years, only Jordan, Robertson, Payton and Artest where the only non-bigmen not to have won the award.

Truely an amazing feat by Kawhi but well deserved after the March and April performance he had.

Congrats to KL. That's awesome. I'm sure last year's playoffs (see my sig) were still in some voters' mind as well. Green was a good candidate but it's not like Kawhi doesn't deserve it. And it was more than due. When people think of defense, they think of the Spurs... yet no player has been recognized since D-Rob 20 years ago.
