This is a great feat... reaching number 5 and all, but I couldn't help but noticed that while the announcers were sucking on Jim's and his achievement last night... they never mentioned how long it took him to get to #5 on that last... and they never even dared mentioned the names ahead of him on that list. I wonder why. So... as your noble conscience I thought I would bring it to your attention. So here we have Jim in the top 5 in playoff scoring... behind Jordan, Kobe, and Shaq... two guys that owned Jim ahead to head.

    NBA/ABA

    Rank Player PTS
    1. Michael Jordan* 5987
    2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar* 5762
    3. Kobe Bryant 5640
    4. Shaquille O'Neal 5250
    5. Tim Duncan 5027

But as you see below... Jim has played waaaaaay more minutes than Kobe, and Kareem, yet still trails them in scoring.

    NBA/ABA

    Rank Player MP
    1. Tim Duncan 8976
    2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar* 8851
    3. Kobe Bryant 8641
    4. Scottie Pippen* 8105
    5. Shaquille O'Neal 8098

Here we see Jim has played more playoff games than Kobe, Shaq, Jordan, and soon to be Kareem, yet still trails far behind them in scoring.

    NBA/ABA

    Rank Player G
    1. Derek Fisher 259
    2. Robert Horry 244
    3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar* 237
    4. Tim Duncan 236
    5. Kobe Bryant 220

Why wasn't this ever mentioned? We know that if it was Kobe they would have definitely mentioned that he needed more games and minutes to still trails the others ahead of him on that list, right? Why does Jim get a pass?

Just think how high Kobe would be on that scoring list had he not missed the playoffs three times.

Because they're currently irrelevant i.e. not in the playoffs.

    PER: 24.6

By every metric, Tim far exceeds Kirby in the playoffs in terms of value and production to his team. It's not even close. And that's not even looking at defensive metrics.

please do tell me who has more wins, both regular season and playoffs

And apparently from the OP, you also count "total points in the playoffs" as something meaningful

    Scoring

Now post most playoff rebounds, blocks, and doubles-doubles?

And like I said, the fact that Kirby has a losing to record to Nash and has never beaten Dirk is a devastating blow to his legacy.

because kobe fans only hang their hats on points.

what are kobe's greatest individual accomplishments?
    - that time he scored x points
    - that time he scored x points in x quarters
    - that time he scored x points in x consecutive games

etc etc etc... so if kobe needed more games/attempts to get reach scoring mark, yeah its a knock on him. Duncan also has the most playoff blocks ever, double doubles... and is generally one of the greatest defensive players in league history. during duncan's prime, the spurs played at a ridiculously slow pace, so point totals aren't a number that were prioritized... either as a team or individually.

when duncan hits a scoring milestone, its a cool nod. its a cherry, a bonus. kobe needs scoring milestones to be relevant

Yeah, but he beat the out of Duncan... that's all that matters. Own your rivals, and the rest is history. Bill owns West. Magic owns Bird. Thomas owns Jordan. Jordan owns Malone. Kobe owns Duncan. Duncan owns Lebron. These are facts, mid.
