Obviously Leonard's list of achievements isn't as impressive as Parker's, but that's simply because Parker has 14 years of NBA experience, and Leonard has only 4. So to make that a fair comparison, you have to ask yourself: Is Parker's resume 3.5 times better than Leonard's? If not, then Leonard is proportionately doing better.
However, the main point is that Leonard right now is arguably more valuable than Parker ever was at any point in his career.
uhh did you read the OP? main point?literally said Kawhi's first four years are better than all of TP's career. that will probably be true in the end but he literally is comparing him currently to tony's entire body of work, not proportionally. He states it pretty clearly

Kawhi didn't single-handedly turn this team into a contender when the Spurs went to the WCF in 2012, he just happened to be one of the last core pieces of the puzzle. Duncan turned back the clock, Green emerged, Splitter became a starter, Jefferson was sent packing, Diaw was signed etc. A lot of things happened between 2011 and the Spurs resurgence.

DPOY does lose its luster because of how poorly the selection process goes most of the time. its still among the few individual awards the league hands out

Ok, so it's among other awards. It loses it's luster when people get it we don't agree should get it. It becomes prestigious when we agree with the selection. The award is either prestigious or it's not.
it always has been prestigious. its why we always want our guys to win it. a couple of years back plenty of fans here were vouching for TD to win it (marc gasol won).
ideally the selection committee would have made some better choices over the years (most notably Marcus Camby, and even Chandler, who won it off reputation rather than merit)
