The Spurs scored 105 points, their problem was defense..I think Paul scored like 4 + 2 FTs of his 34 points with Green guarding him IIRC..
Would be strange to make an offensive subs ution for a team that just allowed 114 points at home..
stealing my idea ey?![]()

didn't know it was your idea, tbh. just brought it up above...
If the Spurs can't stay in front of Austin Rivers though, we're not going anywhere, tbh...
You also don't adjust your defense to Jamal Crawford..he's an inefficient chucker that isn't really affected by the defense, he takes the same bad shots, regardless..you just hope he's missing and keeps shooting, which he usually is IMO..
ain't much we can do about pops rotations. dg should be on cp3 every moment both are on the floor.
We need better defense not offense.
Because at some point I think Pop feels Danny slows down the offense. Tony can't penetrate, we're moving the ball, and Danny can't penetrate either. We end up with a Tim shot in the post, a Kawhi heroic or TP clanking a long shot.
I think Pop sees Marco as a more dynamic offensive player. Better mid-range game, moves well off the ball on offense.... sure, he's a turnstile on defense, but it's a give and take game...
mills is trash, need to play cojo tbh. and yeah, the way i figure it we won't survive another dg bad shooting night. marco has a superior offensive game. but the d will take a major hit with dg off the floor. who knows tbh. pop better figure something out.
That's all true, but again, the defense was the problem..
People seem to forget that these Spurs are a defense-first team..they ranked 2nd in defense, this year, and they've been much better on D than offense for years..there's the perception that the Spurs are an offensive-minded team because they're unstoppable when clicking, but this is a team that relies on D before anything else..
The Parker-Beli duo was one of the worst ranked combinations in the NBA, this year, from an on/off metrics perspective..it's as bad as it gets..
Mills have been fine. This series just isn't for Cojo, IMO.
bad offense leads to bad defense. for instance dg bricks a 3 and cp3 hits one in transition. just my theory anyways.
Pop might even star Beli instead of Kawhi tbh![]()
mills was pure trash on d tonight
I'm 100% in agreement and I rather die with defense than offense. Just my perception of why Pop goes to Beli as much as he goes, and why I wouldn't be surprised if he goes there again.
lots of people were trash on d today
I don't think he will, tbh..he hasn't went to Belinelli in the past 2 games for extended stretches, he'll probably die with Manu instead IMO, which is more understandable, although I disagree for several reasons(the bench needs Manu)..
but mostly our pg's tbh. rivers dropped 16 on mills/parker.
I dont think thats a good idea, he moves the bench, is not having a great series, could get some early fouls and some heavy minutes can be too much for him.
Beli since DG is trash seems to be a more realistic option.
We'll see. Wouldn't surprise me if he goes with Boris from the start either.
This would be a disastrous move. Gotta keep Green to sick on Paul. I'd rather start Boris, since Tiago is just overmatched on both ends this series.
I agree that the bench needs manu, but what use is it to leave tony in the game when manu comes in.--- patty should come in with manu so manu is the primary playmaker
why? This is a better series for joseph than next.
I feel the offense stagnates a lot when Cojo and Manu are on the floor. Patty is actually shooting pretty well, and as long as he is, he should be in the floor with the 2nd unit.
Cojo could make a huge impact, but I think he needs to be placed in the right situation. Hes too aggressive when theres no scoring threats on the floor and too passive when theres a major ball handler on the floor(TP/Manu). It doesnt matter if Cojo is with the starters or with bench players, in the end, he needs to be forced to be in control and distribute.
Starting Diaw was the obviously correct decision in the first place. Blake Griffin is an in-between power forward, not a big one. Boris Diaw is an in-between power forward, not a big one.
...
Start Diaw over Splitter.
???
Profit.
