1. They got there by beating a mediocre Clipper team that routinely chokes and an OKC team sans Chimpbrook and without meaningful depth, and proceeded to get ethered by the Spurs in a sweep.

2. Its the worst the East has ever been, and the East has been pretty awful the past few years.

Hawks are struggling because of Horford's inability to shoot due to a broken finger..he's their best player, he's getting a ton of looks, it's a great matchup for him with Lopez's inability to contest, but he's shooting horribly..
