Never been to a playoff game
Only been to 4 NBA games...one at Memphis three years ago (we lost by 20+) and one at NO two years ago (we lost a close one).
I did see the '92 Dream Team play in Portland, OR twice. Better than any playoff game IMO. The greatest basketball team ever assembled. I think they won both games by a combined 100 points.
One playoff game for me. 2008 Spurs-Suns, Game 1. Double OT feat. Tim Duncan 3-pointer
2005 Finals Game 7
2006 WCSF Game 7
Loss to Mavs sucked but it was a great series and great final game.
I grew up NC so I have never been to spur playoff games but I have went to some Hornet playoff games back in the day.
1997 first round game 3 of Hornets vs Knicks loss
2002 first round Hornets vs Magic game 1 win
2002 second round Hornets vs Nets game 4 loss
2010 first round Bobcats vs Magic game 4 loss
Game 7 2000 WCF vs Blazers
thats bad ass
epic game , can't even imagine what that was like, sadly I've only been to RS games, some good ones, but never a playoff game, rich Jews buy all the seats.
I actually stood in line game day and got tickets for about $150. They weren't great seats only good. They release a small amount of unclaimed tickets a few hours before the game I think I stood inline for maybe 4 hours. I never have been to Finals game though that is on my bucket list. Hopefully we make a finals in the next 10 years or so would Like to go while I'm still young (relatively)
As for the game only game I may have wanted to attend more was the Horry shot game vs. Kings. But the 2000 was special to me for the 12 year drought of les ...and we all knew once we beat Portland we was winning the chip. No offense to anyone but the messican rioted as we we were leaving Staples. Such a great moment sullied by some losers ...
I have gone to a couple of Finals games, but the best playoff game I have been to was Game 2 of the 1999 WCF when Sean Elliott hit the gamewinner over Rasheed Wallace to cap off a run from 18 down and take a 2-0 series lead. It was literally the first time anything like that ever went right for the Spurs in the playoffs and the crowd was insanely loud (attendance was something like 35,000). The Alamodome had these hollow plastic seats that make a lot of noise when you thump them. It seemed like half the crowd was beating on the seat in front of them when Damon Stoudamire was shooting free throws with about 15 seconds left to try to take a 3 point lead. He looked like was going to cry when he missed the first. It was twice as loud as I ever heard even Hemisfair Arena. Back in the days when our crowd was like Oklahoma City's.
I haven't been to many games, so my favorite was game 1 of the Finals in 1999. That place was rocking all game, but the before tipoff was what I remember most.
Game 3 of the 1988 first round between the Cavs and the Bulls at the Coliseum. I suppose it really wasn't an all-timer of a game, but I did get to see Michael Jordan live for the first and only time and the Cavs won to boot. So it was definitely memorable.
Went to the game in 2009 when Dallas curbstomped SA by like 40 in Game 3. That was fun.
Saw the Game 6 OT loss to Phoenix in 2005. Heartbreaking but probably the best game I've ever seen in person. For all their flaws, the SSOL Suns were must-attend games in Dallas, seemed like every game against them was some amazing double OT nailbiter.
Best ever though is being in the house in 2011 for the Mother's Day Massacre, watching Jet and Peja ass-rape the Lakers, finishing the sweep, ending Phil's coaching career in the most embarrassing way possible, and sending the entire Lakers organization into a tailspin they haven't gotten out of![]()
Quite a few during the oughts. Most painful was '06 game 7 against the Mavs. Greatest, most abrupt roller coaster from bad to great to bad I can imagine. Game 5 against Miami in '13 was a blast. Loadest the ATT Center has been when I've been there. The two finals games against the Cavs in '07 were fun. Watching Bowen terrorize LeBron will always be a fond memory for me.
