I've never understood the love for Chipotle.
Overpriced mediocre food with limited menu options.
Freebirds is a slightly better, imo
what a stupid PR move.
Have fun with buying a $10 burrito

Freebirds nachos are the .
Chipotle is so ing bland, I don't know how people can like that .
Its for you white folk...Freebirds is not much better. The whole Mission (SF style mexican is for the whiteys.)
And those lines out the door.
It's because you get a lot of food and the rice tricks you into thinking you're eating healthy.
I've eaten that once in my life and felt robbed. Go to any corner in LA and you can find better burritos with more meat for half the price. I am sure Texas isn't much different.
It just blows me away they can use these supposedly really high quality ingredients and make something that tastes so boring.
Yeah, it's the same reaction I had to o's Tacos after half the white people I knew told me it was the best Mexican food in LA and I stupidly tried it.
it's not. Not sure why anyone with access to real tortillas would put up with chipotle crap
is it the one in Culver City?
No place is ever going to compete with what you find in South, East and Downtown LA as far as price and quality of the food. What does suck is never having cash and having to deal with a charge for that, or the place just being straight cash only(or ebt, lol).
Even the best burgers in LA(for price) are located in Watts.
Chipotle
I'll just go to Chachos
Yeah, that's it. Same ing boring bland , same dumbass white people in long lines raving about how awesome it is.
It's like Mexican food out of an Old El Paso commercial

When people are talking about Mexican food with me and then bring up Chipotle.![]()
What do you like for interior Mexican? I like Cascabel Mexican Patio downtown, except their mole poblano ain't that good.
I rarely eat at Mexican restaurants since I still have my mom's cooking whenever I visit, but I'd say my two favorites in the NW side are probably Jalisco Grill on DeZavala and La Fogata on Vance Jackson. Mamacita's is ok, Chuy's sucks.
La Fogata's salsa is ing great, but they seem more Tex-Mex. They do have better mole than Cascabel though. I haven't tried Jalisco when I read they don't use mulatos in their mole (probably because they're so ing expensive relative to the other chiles used in it). But Cascabel has awesome tortas, pozole, cochinita pibil, and lots of other great on their menu. They close at like 3PM though.
Iron Mexican is correct, though, you don't have to go to the barrios of Evergreen or Big Bad Hazard to get great authentic Mexican food anymore--they're great spots all over SoCal that you don't have to waste time with Chipotle or the even worse Cafe Rio.
Never heard of Cafe Rio. Can't be worse than El Torito though, right?
No El Torito is he worse...I would rate Cafe Rio only a tiny bit better than Chipotle only because they hand make their tortillas and they carry the El Yucateco Habanero sauce bottles that I jack because they overstock them...
