They want him to be the next Kam Chancellor.. Not a bad pick by any means.. But we have bigger needs. No OT on the board anymore though.. So it is what it is.
they're WAAY too slow with the pick announcements... we're in a perpetual state of "the pick is in" because by the time they announce one, the next is locked in.
the ing draft ticker has the pick written out before goodell announces it![]()

it wasn't a big need. and it's not like he was BPA by a big margin or anything like that either. not saying he's gna be a bad player, just not a very good pick for Carolina imo. i liked K-Ben last year, not a fan of this one
Chip Kelly
DBG still available![]()
you got it
LOL we traded up for a RB again,![]()
Who knows what will be available as far as the skill positions are concerned that far deep in the draft.
We need OL that's for sure. I just get the feeling they'll wait on the skill position until the 4th round when we have several picks.
raiders will take randy gregory 100% in he's there in round 2. they really liked him at the combine interiews
^me when they announced the Malcom Brown pick. Perfect fit for the Patriots.
drafting a RB in the first round
trading up for him at that
Chargers
Did the Niners up their pick too? Haven't bothered to see who they picked.
Armstead
Not sure how to feel about Cards selecting Humphries. He's a solid get, with arguably elite upside as he gets bigger and stronger. And with no Gordon, it makes some sense. Additionally, prior to Kiem, the Cardinals had the worst talent on the OL I the league.
But OL wasn't really an area of need. That said, I think I'm good with it.
"my chimp will be better than your chimp"
Really hope Randy Gregory becomes the Raiders pick here. iirc they were the first team to meet with him after his drug test, and there were reports that they really liked him at the combine... especially in interview sessions. fills a massive need at pass-rusher. The Bucs might have a need after cutting michael johnson, but i don't know if they're going to want to take 2 "character concern" players after going with Jameis #1 overall. doubt tennessee goes for an edge rusher after giving big money to orakpo and morgan. i like owa odighizuwa and preston smith too, but Gregory is on another tier
Still sort of scratching my head over this pick. They signed Andre Johnson and now they take another receiver in the first round when they need help on the Oline and on defense. Feels like more of a luxury pick when they could have actually addressed a need.
not to mention spending recent draft picks on ty hilton, donte moncrief, dwayne allen, coby fleener
wow, i'm abolutely thrilled, we got the biggest steal in the draft while also adressing a big need. crazy
I figured they would've went defense there, but what do I know? I could understand not reaching for an offensive lineman in the first round, you can get quality OL's on day two. But to have not addressed their defense was puzzling. And as spurraider21 and yourself have already noted, they have many aerial weapons already, more notably Hilton in regards to a comparable.
Biggest steal? Naw. I would say the Jets got that with Big Cat @ 6
Predictions for the second round? I think this is the pick Houston goes WR or LB. Kendricks would be nice...or perhaps move up to get Strong before he disappears in the first couple of picks. Someone from another site mentioned Tyler Lockett. That would be a typical sneaky Houston pick. He would fit well too.
raiders go DE. either gregory, odighizuwa, preston smith, or eli harold
