Can you believe this was ten years ago?
Time really flies

Man that was some good stuff. Killer hair
there are good recent ones too, i especially like the last one clowning dirk all game![]()
His coming out party. No Timmy, no Enrique and still took Shaq, Kobe, Malone and Payton to double OT. Probably when I first realized how special he was going to be and the day he became my favorite player. Young Manu was so cot damn deadly tbh.
He probably knows deep inside if he is going to retire or not, and if he is, I expect a couple of vintage Manu plays tonight. He will not want to end his career on a really poor game.
I feel he is gonna show up big with a couple of vintage steals or vintage drives into the paint and hopefully a W. He played very well last season in that Game 7 vs. Dallas and the last game vs. Miami.
This was a great one. Scored 24 straight points at one point in the game.
That Lakers 4HOF game was special as .
He almost beat them all single handedly.
Epic game. Even for a loss.
Amazing game. Can't believe he didn't get more touches in the playoff series against them later that year. Instead, Pop's plan was to let Tony chuck the Spurs out of that series. Here's the percentages against the Lakers.
.594 TS% - Manu
.534 TS% - Duncan
.421 TS% - Enrique
And Pop's plan was to give Tony the most shot attempts:
19 FGA/g - Enrique
15 FGA/g - Duncan
10 FGA/g - Manu
smh
There are obviously eras for teams. But..
Not mentioning George Gervin when talking Spurs basketball...
Ya just don't know history.
Go talk to your dad and read some. My father likes to rant on, let him. He might also enjoy seeing you again.
You gotta embrace the whole of what is Spurs basketball. Especially before game 7.
2nd Greatest Spur of All Time![]()
manu sacrificed personal stats for the team, something all these low iq players can never do.
Thread makes me feel old. That 2005 championship is still the best for me.
1. Duncan
2. Ginobili
3. Gervin
4. Leonard
5. Bowen
No pro athlete has ever played every single game with the fervent intensity and passion of Manu Ginobili. He's a true basketball warrior legend.
Wow. I knew Enrique disappeared (per par) after the Spurs built up the 2-0 series lead but didn't know he had taken more shots than the best player on the planet at the time. Now he's out there taking the same amount of shots as Kawhi despite shooting 30% from the field. Some things never change smh.
With guys like Shane Heal, Jason Hart and Rasho by his side. Yet people still question whether he would've made a good #1 on another team.![]()
Manu Ginobili has the highest career win % among all active NBA players.
Of course, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan are second and third, respectively.
Eh, he wouldn't have last as long as he has on another team. He should be thanking pop for preserving his career and allowing him to make more money over time, even with smaller contracts, than if he had signed one big one because that's all he would lasted through, if even that.
Not now guys-this is torture. There will be plenty of time for us to remember our Spur greats! Hurts too much now to remember the greatness of Manu when we still have a game 7 to play. Pretty painful and sure as makes me feel old.![]()
favorite player ever since 2001 Kinder Bologna
Thanks for saying this! Yes, Yes, Yes!!! GINOOOOBILLLLIIIIII! He has been my favorite Spur for years and years! What a class act!
