Yup...I'm honestly less upset about this loss than I was about the New Orleans loss or some of the other losses in this series.

They at least gave it their all, and went out with a fight. Duncan was amazing...if that was his last game, at least he went out swinging. Manu hit some huge 3s.

It'll be an interesting offseason. Not sure what the future will bring, but the past 15 years have been incredible. It'll be great to look back on this era.

Why do people chase rabbits like this? The foul was called, the FTs were given, the game is over. In the anus of history no team was ever awarded the game after a loss because of a wrongly called foul. Why even discuss the calls? Does it make you feel better about the Spurs allowing 110 points in regulation in a playoff game, or losing 2 at home?

They'll be back. Manu might not, but everyone else will.

We'll still be a top team in the west, but our days at the very top are likely over — this year being the first real indicator of this.

Depends entirely on what this offseason holds. Tim looked so good out there this season, I wouldn't be surprised if he's got one more in him. If the role players return and stay healthy, and the Spurs make a solid signing in free agency, there's no reason they couldn't be back at the top of the conference next to GSW next year.

He was flopping falling backward. He had all the way back to the sideline out of bounds to land. Prone.

This may or may not be the end.

We won't know for a while.

It may be just another case of failing to repeat -- nothing more.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I think this team will be largely back... the questions are really Manu and whatever FAs we might have. Tim will be back, IMO.

Now we get some rest too, which I think this team needed, and we should be able to contend.

Big Two era was fun while it lasted. Won't mind at all if Duncan and Manu retire. They've carried the team long enough. Feel really bad for the other guys on the team. They're going to be playing with the worst point guard in the NBA for the next three years.

All I can say is that it was a good ride

We have to be prepared for the nightmare of having Parker as our starting PG for the next 3 years. Also, GL to Danny Green and his agent trying to get 10m/year from SA.

Manu may be done. Tim gives it another year, I think. He looked too good this year to be completely done, for starters, and I also can't imagine a world in which he doesn't give the team and the fans a full year notice of his impending retirement, a la Robinson. When TD announces retirement, he'll probably do it in advance of his final season.

Offload some of the crap at the bottom of the roster, and go get a strong FA to slide in and give 2016 a run.

If Duncan retires he's out of his mind.

He's a top ten NBA player as we speak.

    And he's a basketball junkie.

    He'll be back.

Luck aside they just have no killer instinct
This year not as much but last year they didn't need it because they put teams away so fast and early in the playoffs and no need to win the close ones. How great game 7 on was in last years playoffs, damn they made it so easy the didn't have to win the close ones sides game 6 against OKC on their floor. This team this year was just too shaky though IMO, very up and down and a fitting ending to this year tonight.

First off, I think Tim will be back and he will continue to play until his wheels really fall off, which might not be for a while. I bet he has a picture of Dorian Gray in his living room or something.

Secondly, while I might bemoan the sloppiness of some parts of the game, the Spurs competed to the very end, just like the Clippers. It was a fantastic series worthy of a finals matchup. I can't fault the effort.

Lastly, do some of you have no shame? These players, this core has brought 5 les to San Antonio, they've played with the utmost integrity and heart all the time they have been here and this is how you treat them? Players like Manu and Parker have been incredible for San Antonio, giving their all, being loyal players and when they suffer an inevitable decline you on them? This at ude is disgusting to me. Criticism is one thing, but the manner in which people on this forum talk about Parker (but also Manu and even Tim!!! at times) is obscene. I used to come on this forum all the time to read even if I didn't post much, but I find it becoming intolerable to sift through the garbage before I find a cogent discussion.

Even if Tim comes back for a few more years this era is drawing to a close. Criticism is rational, but the disrespect that is shown on this forum makes me ill for the twilight of one of the most incredible teams in NBA history.

Unfortantely TD not retiring is preventing the FO from seeing it's time to retool.

I thought they played hard tonight and gave themselves a chance. Wish they had gotten fully over the hump, but they played like champions and almost pulled off one of the most difficult things to do in professional sports.

I can't do anything other than thank them and applaud their effort.

Proud to be a fan of those dudes.
