The call was legit. Settle down
Sure, it was a ticky tack call at the end of a Game 7 of a tightly contested playoff series. That said, the Clippers got a key offensive rebound, Paul ends up hitting a big shot at the end of the game, and the Spurs didn't execute when the time came. It's really that simple.
The call was legit. Settle down
believe me, the Spurs are to blame for the loss. we would be up 5 or 6, have a fast break, blow the opportunity, and have the Clips hit a 3 or a quick momentum shot the other way. it happened too many times.
that said, the reffing was bad. they were setting moving screens the entire series and our guys were getting called for fighting through them. lots of ticky tack stuff called against us that wasn't being called against them. then when they would FINALLY get called for something they would endlessly to the refs.
dont't even get me started on that absolute horse at the end that took the last possession(OT at worst) from us and just handed it right to the Clips.
Clips beat Rockets, lose to Warriors in 6.
The best team doesn't always win, but in this case they did. The Spurs just had too many issues to overcome this year and they were never quite able to pull their offense or defense together for significant stretches unfortunately.
Go Clips!
What the is wrong with you? That's a bad call in the regular season. In the playoffs its unforgivable.
Which ref made that call?
I thought it was a terrible call as well. Maybe you get that ticky tack call in the first quarter of a game in December but not in the waning seconds of a Game 7. There was barely any contact and if the contact doesn't even affect the shot (which it didn't, Paul bricked that shot without an ounce of contact from Duncan) you let that go and play on.
In most sports, including basketball you must beat the champion. You are not going to win by crying or by flopping. Unless, you are playing the Spurs. The Spurs are one of the greatest teams to ever step on the floor, but have never gotten the respect by the officials that other champions have received. This will always have to be part of the discussion when you compare the Spurs to the Celtics, Lakers, and Bulls.
Flop Paul the hero that the NBA wants
Can we get clip(s) of this with as many views as possible?
It was referee Monty McCutchen who called the foul on Duncan in final minute that gave CP3 2 FTs. <courtesy Juggity
Don't forget they blatanly ignored Leonard being repetedly fouled on his penetrations.
That's what you get when you blow a chance to close it out in Game 6.
Y'all didn't seriously think we were gonna win Game 7 in LA, did ya? I'm surprised it was even close.
And the missed goaltend call
He also started the clock early at the end
excuses, excuses
time to blow up the team , old and slow
great at ude. Very gracious take. We have to consider that paul also didnt play much in the first half due to the injury and the clippers grinded out a win. Spurs are the best team in the west the past three years, but the clippers were the better team last night.
Enjoy your second round loss.
the spurs screwed themselves by losing the last game of reg season. clippers would be about the last west team I would want the spurs to get in first round.
and yeah I'm sure that's been brought up here several times already.
Funny thing is that Clippers fans are ing about the refs even after they won the game

you dont make that call in the playoffs in a game 7 under 1 minute left in a tie game. you just dont. unless of course you had to or wanted to.
.
Skip, we're on the same page...
Except the shot clock I said it all already..
The CP3 drama esp.
what a show.
Yup, fans are the same on either side
Maybe, but a second round loss is still better than a 1st round loss. Nice try at an insult
Not really.
