If RC gave a big fat contract to a scrub PG, he can certainly give the max to Kiwi

Easily. With cap space skyrocketing in the coming years, his max contract this year will look like mid level in a couple years.
Of course. Him ting the bed in games 6 and 7 won't change that, he's 23.
It'll be fun watching some team max him out and for once Pop have to play that game. Yeah, drag that down into the mud & , see how he likes it.
And with the ways Pop's been acting he may brazen it out and refuse to match. His vanity has run amok and it's cost him.
Not a franchise player but he will get the max because guys like Hayward got it last summer.
disappointing series from him, overall, tbh.... but, he's young... Spurs will pay up and that's the right thing to do.
franchise role player though. you end up paying the pippens too in the current market. There's only like 4 true alphas in the league though so the spurs will probably have to hope two sudo stars can mesh.
Idiots forget he's 23 and he's come up big in the big stage every year of his career, outside of these last 3 games. He deserves and will get the max.
Im more concerned about Danny Green's future with the team.
Sudo eh? Ubuntu? lol.. revealed.
Anyone that gives this a max is just burning money.
such is the way of the nba, so spoketh Kobe fans
This, the Dude isnt even in his prime yet.
Kawhi is a good player, maybe even great, and he has enormous potential.
His defense is already top-notch (much easier when you have a guy like Duncan manning the middle), but he is still not assertive enough on offense. He has to figure out a way to balance when he takes over on offense, and when he lets the offense comes to him.
As for whether he gets the max, I think it's a no-brainer in today's NBA environment. I'd be shocked if he doesn't.
