Marc Gasol? Overrated..
Consider you are RC here.. how would you go from here (in a perfect world)
1) I would offer Kawhi the max, and try to add Marc Gasol also for the max.
2) Re-sign Danny Green to a 8-9mill/yr contract.
3) I would trade Diaw and our 2nd for Pau Gasol. The Bulls aren't going anywhere and if they fail to make the Finals, I see them blowing up. I would rather trade Splitter, but I don't think they would take that. Pau has a cap-friendly deal.
4) I'd give Belinelli the sixth man role with Manu retiring. A poor mans Manu for sure, but I think he could be a major difference in that role.
5) TP as a sixth man wouldn't be a bad idea, but I don't think he'd take it. Patty to start?
6) I'd do everything I could to sign CJ... doubt he takes it, but would be nice.
7) Bring in Thomas and release Bonner
THIS IS CLEARLY HYPOTHETICALS TO MAKE THE TEAM AVOID THE REBUILD PROCESS. I feel like there are too many championship-caliber players on this team prior to the team retiring to go in full-rebuild mode.

Things don't look bright. Expect to be in the lottery every year.
looks D-league
You don't have money to bring in Marc if you keep Splitter, Marco, Green. These theoretical teams need to follow CBA rules.
A sober coach with a functioning set of balls would tell TP what his role would be.
Unfortunately this years staff had none.
I'd want parker gone and anything else is negotiable. But it would have to start with parker being traded, bought out, or just outright waived. One of the 3.
Tony will never be benched or traded with Pop as coach.
Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse, the Spurs offense system are still too reliant on his game like we saw the last two games.
Offensively, Gasol doesn't fit with Splitter, but Tiago could be the perfect complement for Aldridge weak defense.
But maybe we should trade Boris to have more cap space...Or trade Tiago.
I don't want to lose these guys but the Spurs can't keep Kawhi, Danny and sign a FA big name if they don't trade one of them.
how can you tell without knowing who is going to coach
Marc Gasol would be the best fit and it's not close. I just don't think he's leaving Memphis.
Aldridge is the only star-caliber player we have a shot at obtaining, so I'd take him in a heartbeat.
Oh, and obviously make sure you keep Leonard/Green together
Parker is signed for 3 more seasons for over $40 million- is there an escape clause for Spurs to dodge this or would Parker have to be bought out or traded. Who would take Parker on the form he displayed in playoffs ? Who would you replace Parker with anyway. Parker is Spurs for 3 more seasons. Mills should be traded or offered more money to extend the current deal.
Tony Parker
Danny Green
Jimmy Butler
Boris Diaw
Tiago Splitter
scott why you so salty?
cory joseph, danny green, leonard, tiago, monroe
diaw, patty, anderson, some fillers.. get some picks and maybe some diamonds in the rough like middleton or kj mcdaniels if they come in cheap. also, full on rebuild.
I want to get Rudy Gobert from Utah. Dude's going to become a real beast.
In about 6 or 7 years when he is unrestricted we might get a meeting with him.
Pretty sure the Bulls will match any offer for butler.
If we just didn't have Parker to the insane contract...that contract is going to hurt alot for awhile.
Pipe dream is was somehow replace Parker with Dragic, or Conley, get Aldridge and keep Kawai and Green, also perhaps keeping Timmy. If that happned we would definitally still be in the hunt for a championship next season.
Sign Lemarcus Aldridge. Move Tim to center
LJC comes over to play the 3/4
trade Parker and tiago to Philadelphia for SF Jeremi Grant and their first 2 picks in round 2 this year (35 and 37).
