Not about to go through all that at 1am you saw Kool Bob Love's thread, it wasn't just defensive efficiency
Sure did. And still the same. All starters more than likely had the same lack of impact.

regardless of tony allen, our series showed that neither kawhi or deandre deserved DPOY
Wrong again. The DPOY Award, just like any other NBA award, is based on the regular season. Kawhi was far and away the best defensive player this year, and the award was rightfully given. If Kawhi hadn't missed those 19 games, nobody would've said a word about Kawhi winning the award. That was the only argument against him. He deserved it.

Yeah...because Kawhi didn't play lock-down defense against the Warriors...

In playoffs he made life absolutely miserable for Thompson the last games.

And maybe you forget the last time he played the Warriors in regular season, he had 7 steals and scored 26 points.
I agree, some are so damn game to game in here it's ridiculous and forget at times...... You are correct and OP is re ed as most of you said.

I don't think it's a surprise to anybody that Allen is the best perimeter lock down defender on guards. Doesn't mean Kawhi wasn't DPOY ffs.

This. Kiwi can defend positions 1-4. Definitely more versatile and a better disruoptor and rim protector. I would take Tony allen to defend spots 1-2. Would take KL for 3-4 but Kiwiw is the overall better more versatile defender inho. Allen is a terror too ...

I remember when folks thought I was raving about Tony allen's defense because he made things tough on Kobe. But if you watch the games he has ggreat instincts and is amazing at splitting screens to stay attached to his man.

I'd take Kawhi over Allen as a defender every day. And Allen is a great defender.
