Kobe's 36 and hasn't played in a playoff game in 3 years. Duncan is 39 and still the best player on arguably the best team in the league. Kobe will never allow himself to be the 2nd option. He wouldn't even do that when he had a team full of HOFers.

Though Kobe never let a woman hamstring him like Duncan tragically did. And the stupid ass ended up giving Amy the money she'd demanded. But, he was y, too stupid to have the vision to see 6, to at least fear 6. No, not that asshole. He recklessly brazened it out with this woman as the playoffs closed in on him & his and it cost him & his an NBA le already won.

Kobe took by force what was not his. Then never made another wrong move. Never. Wiped the room, got back into California, then the most brilliant move:::went back to Eagle, hired "used" that female attorney and removed "used" her choker chain in an Eagle court-room. Additionally, when the rapee asked for a settlement, Kobe didn't slam the door in her in' face like Duncan did Amy,,,,,,Kobe cut the check. Result? Our 3rd back-to-back of the 21st Century.

, not many Spurfans younger than 50 know what being a bottom feeder is like. I remember the 96 season quite well when we tanked, but that season wasn't particularly painful because I knew we were getting a high draft pick to pair along with D-Rob next year, so the future was bright (and of course we landed the 4th GOAT). Other than that, the Spurs have always made the post-season over the last 3 decades, although the disappointments in the Robinson era were quite frustrating.

And as much as I'm annoyed with Kawhi being outplayed by Matt Barnes, I think he, along with Green, give us a solid wing core moving ahead. If we can snag LMA and Parker somehow rebounds, we can make another run.

The Spurs aren't making a run with Aldridge, he'll be on the wrong side of 30 by this summer and he's already starting to go downhill.
