Yes I miss spelled his last name sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From the winkapedia Page....
In the offseason, Aldridge splits his time between the Portland area, Newport Beach, and his hometown of Dallas, Texas.[36][37] In April 2009, Aldridge's son Jaylen Lea Aldridge was born. Aldridge is separated from Jaylen's mother. Jaylen lives with his mother in San Antonio, Texas.[36] Aldridge's cousin is Marlon Hairston, a midfielder for the Colorado Rapids.[38]

Family means a lot to Texas guys. The fact that his son live is SA and is around 5-6 right now, you can bet he wants to spend more time with him. If SA wants LA, I think he will sign here. There was a report a couple of weeks ago that one of the Portland teammates mentioned that SA was a preferred destination for him.
I found that odd initially. But it clear right now. The fact he can go to a system that knows how to utilize a high low post offensive player like Duncan and the fact his son lives in SA, I see him coming to the Spurs if they make him a Max offer.
Op pink yourself
Nah.
Think I will wait for Tspence confirmation first![]()
LET'S WAIT AND SEE
so that means he will come here to try to reconquer his old
meaning his head won't be 100% in basketball..
no thanks
Not until TSpence confirms it tbh.
Dude, it has nothing to do with his Baby's mama but everything to do with being close to his son. I am pretty sure they have moved on. But a kid needs a father and his son is at the age when he actually does need one.
This is old news, and has been discussed multiple times in the Aldridge thread.
Also, this thread sucks.
This is information that has already been know Op.
Old news, but I hope he signs here.
He opted out of surgery on his hand to rough it out and play the rest of the season/playoffs. You may be thinking of Tiago aka Mr. Glass aka Mr. Charmin.
Must be a Texas thing. Dwight Howard moves from state to state to get away from his kids.
There are only 50 states, so it's getting tough.
Yes, and even less states that have NBA franchises.
Yes it is. I know friends and family that hate their exes guts, but man, they still love their kids. Howard is from Atlanta where young guys actually shun the responsibility of raising their kids. I know, because I live here currently. It's a totally different cultural.
Everyone who is ing about Aldridge coming here...who do you really think the Spurs are gonna get?
Lebron James or Anthony Davis ain't coming through that door. The only higher impact player available (as has been heavily noted) is Marc Gasol, and he doesn't seem real keen on leaving Memphis. The fact that they just steamrolled the Warriors last night probably isn't going to help.
Aldridge isn't the most physical or aggressive big in the league by any means, but I'd be interested to see what he could do within the Spurs system.
Is it confirmed by Tspence?
This right here.
I get what you are saying. I'm not a big fan of LMA, and I wonder if trading Splitter and other pieces to get him will actually make us better, or just different. He is a great shooter, so he can space much better than Splitter. But I just don't know about his rebounding or toughness. He really didn't come into his own until he was like 28. And he got outmuscled by a Grizzlies team that isn't going away anytime soon. I'd love to get Gasol, but I think we had a better chance of getting Pau last year than we have of getting Marc this year. And we weren't really all that close to getting Pau once you look at the Chicago offer that he took.
Isn't he the guy Splitter shut down in the playoffs last year? Why would we want a guy who can be shutdown by Splitter?
non-soccer fans won´t understand this![]()
