Grim business when it's said out loud like that.
Another reason I'm fairly confident about next year. Parker, Manu and Splitter were all banged up and couldn't play much worse. Kawhi will be even better next year. Green had a bad series. Patty will play more. Everyone thought after bowing out in 2012 that was it for sure but a few tweaks here and there and we were at the top again. Hopefully we can resign everyone.
Well, one thing we know for sure. The guys that kept predicting that Kwahi would score an average of 30+ ppg and lock down whoever he guarded were delusional, blinded from reality by their emotional attachment to their favorite player. I have three of them blocked so I haven't seen their lame excuses for the failure to star.
What did we really learn from this series about Leonard? Here's my opinion: When the team AS A TEAM does well at moving the ball, he does well in the system because it helps him get free and raises his confidence. That happened in the game when he was scoring well. However, when the defenses get in tighter coverages and hinder ball movement in general, he tends to become passive and doesn't have confidence to take over and make the shots.
The Clippers made a decision to prevent Kwahi from beating them, similar to what most teams do to stop the other leading team's scorer. In this case, Matt Barnes trapped him down in the corner with tight coverage to where he couldn't get the ball and he just didn't have the experience to move without the ball to get open. The recognition of what they are doing to stop him will come in time.
It's really not surprising since this is the first year and playoff series where he was expected to be the leader. It takes a while for a player to have that veteran experience and the confidence to go with it.
I'm dubious on Leonard ever making that "Blake Griffin leap." Griffin has all-world athleticism to work with.
Lots of cry baby time. This is very xmas level trolling. The thing about xmas was overposting and a lack of self awareness. This is a bad thread but the dumbest of you can't get away.
We had literally two or three good days where the trolling was good and respectful then it reverted to giggle giggle cats giggle giggle scooter
Rob, don't self dox. If you're tall go play basketball instead of spurstalk.
Oh and real talk, a six foot tall man does not ride a ing scooter.
Look got. Ima tell you once. We would have easily won this series without a ing tony parker on the team. He actually HURT the team when playing. What don't you understand from that?
I say it wouldn't be easy since the clips had a real good team, but I do think you could be correct. I'm not really arguing that.
But,I am curious dabom what you think of tall guys riding scooters? Just awkward right? Or do they make man sized scooters?
A guy on a scooter just screams confidence to me tbh. Dude must have some huge cojones.
Holy . Rob had 4000 posts since the start of the playoffs. Talk about a ing loser without a life.
You post a lot like Sbm so you shouldn't be talking xmas tbh.
Damn, I knew he was bad but I didn't realize it was that bad. If Kawhi is the future, the future sucks.
It was all jumpshots. He should have been going to the rim and drawing fouls.
He had a bad couple games and his shot wasn't falling even Duncan went 5 for 17 in a game 7 on the road although we won the game vs the Hornets. Leonard just needs to keep working on his game and always remember he is a defensive guy first and hopefully he takes a big leap offensively before Duncan retires.
Unfortunate but Leonard did do some failing when it came down to it, tbh.
Doesn't make him a less than max player. Players make what teams will pay for em; that means KL is a max player.
Needs to learn how to dribble before he can do that. Maybe SloMo will give him some pointers over the summer.
