Yeah, he'll be gone LONG before we pick. Did you look at his profile? DX has him ranked #14, and we're picking #26.
I'd like to see us target him with our first round pick. He is a 6'5" PG who can handle the ball well. He can shoot well. And is very good defensively. Try like to trade tony and let this kid take over.

I saw him play a lot. He got any shot he wanted this past year and is very capable of hitting tough contested shots. Quick but doesn't always get past the second defender. He does look very NBA ready. Probably a much taller version of Kemba Walker. Could be a cool replacement for Manu as a two guard now that I think of it. Was also doing damage last year but he got dismissed for cheating. He's definitely a reach but would be a good fit.
Half the distance of the first round isn't a reach, it's a fantasy. He's projected as a late lottery pick, #14.
NBA Draft Net has him at #19 either way he's way out of the Spurs range.
Any favs in the draft?
Splitter + 26 might get him if he slides past 15. The loss of D would be a problem unless LA was taking Splitter's spot.
Even if he is a little older, I can live with Delon Wright, who I think can be better because he is already an awesome defender. If he learns how to shoot, which I'm pretty sure he will. Also very good at the pick n roll, and has a very nice euro step when he gets to the rim.
Domestics:
Justin Anderson-6'6 SG. Long arms (6'11) good athlete and defender improved his jumper. Would give us another defender (off the bench) who can guard 2's and 3's. Actually watched him play live. He was impressive in person.
International-
George Lucas-6'6 PG from Brazil. 7'0 wingspan, massive hands. Could be a good two way guard in the NBA
Timothe Luwawu-6'7 from France-Long, athletic and good lateral quickness was compared to Danny Green, but seems to be able to attack off the dribble already.
Splitter should be enough for any pick outside of the lottery, IMO. I wouldn't add the 26th.
Do you think any of them can contribute next season?
Older players are considered almost red flagged. A 23 YO playing with 18 and 19 YOs is like a college freshman playing with HS players.
Well one day he is going to be a 30 year old kid playing with 25 year old guys
but yeah the Spurs are are still good enough for at least another year to develop a 19-21 year old in Austin.
Another Pg for Pop to bench in order to play Tony. Whatever pg we find needs to have size to play next to Patty on the bench.
Not really. Anderson is probably a deep bench guy that will get some RS minutes here and there and spend some time in the D-League. Both Lucas and Luwawu are probably a couple of seasons away. Spurs may pick one of those two and pocket the $990,000 for free agency.
Livio( 2013 1st round pick) is probably coming over, so he'd be the new young guy on the block.
