Not much difference in their opinions on each subject. Fully agree with them.

Depressing that we have to break apart the team because of Tony's terrible contract.

Is no one of the opinion that Green ting in the playoffs will have a silver lining in terms of cooling some of the outsider interest? At least a lil?
I mean all this sorta talk started with the career season he had, but then he totally went cold and was one of many reasons the Spurs didn't make the cut.
Surely someone's gotta consider that .
And is that the performance Danny Green wants as his final statement in a Spurs uni?

    as always, lol #holocaust

    What a year for Enrique.

That career year in 2013 seems so long ago.

His final statement was arguably his best two-way game ever. Do people just blank Game Seven out?

I doubt the Spurs would enjoy having their next 5 first round picks forfeited and getting a huge fine for making an illegal arrangement.

Since he the bed in Games 1-6, it felt about as flukey as Austin Rivers's Game 4.

I love how people can ignore about 250 games where Green showed how good he was because "It was his last statement that counts" but then they dismiss his final game because, "It's clearly a fluke when you look at the games before that." None of this even considers that Green actually have a few good games in that series. He had two really bad ones which skew the numbers.

I'm doing neither. Green is a good player. He just has a habit of disappearing for long stretches in the playoffs. This was not the first time Green has disappeared for a long stretch, only to re-emerge late in the series. He did it for stretches in the 2013 and 2014 playoffs as well. He plays good D, but on offense he's totally useless if his shot is not falling and he has a habit of going cold in the playoffs for long periods of time. This year was particularly bad, enough by his consistently inconsistent standards.

Don't get my post twisted or anything, I'm not saying I feel that way, I'm a Spurs fan, I watched an inordinate amount of the Spurs regular season. It was more me HOPING that some teams might draw further impressions from his overall very rocky series, which would even the odds of us getting him back.

He shot 50 percent or better from three in three of the seven games. The idea that he disappeared in this series is absurd, and completely born of a lack of facts.

His shot is going to be there sometimes and not there other times. That happens as a three-point shooter. But that's not the same thing as "disappearing". He's up in down in the regular season as well.

Again, he went supernova in Game Seven. That's his last statement to the Spurs.

I think it is possible that teams will hesitate to give him a deal the Spurs wouldn't match, at least right away in the off-season. I think the Knicks will try to get every other big name before going to Danny. I think teams like Orlando or Boston may not consider him a building block. But I think all things considered, he'll get between $8-10 Million a year. If the Spurs can get him on a $40M/5 or $45M/5, that would be awesome for both sides.

Marco Belinelli, Cojo, Jeff Ayres and Matt Bonner are the disposable four.

What series did you watch? He was horrible all series except for game 7 where he was "ok". Supernova? Seriously? I don't need stats to quantify what I saw with my own eyes. His shot not falling is one thing, getting burned on D, throwing the ball away and attempting these stupid runners that he was never good at is something else. He played like when we needed him not to the most. That's what counts. He has done it before.

Do people actually watch the games they talk about? Danny was the best perimeter defender on the Spurs in the series, with the second best being way out of sight.

Gomez "Hopefully Matt Bonner will return for the minimum because he's awesome."
    Was Gomez being sarcastic or?

"I'm a blog writer at an Interweb site."

The other two while not as gagging....
Itz: ..Matt Bonner, well I could see Matt come back as the 14th man if the Spurs have room, and I would support this.
    Wilco: Bonner for sure,
Thankfully Bruno does no such nonsense. Im assuming this is ST Bruno?

Game 7 Danny Green is pretty much Green at his best. That defense was something else!! Dude is a beast on the Defensive end when he's locked in!! Danny Green will be sought by every team in the league. I hope the Spurs can bring him back, if not, we're pretty much the same team from 2010-2011

Those are Green's stats for the series. Not very good by any means. But he clearly didn't suck the whole series.
