How about the longest yard? Maybe 6 or 7?

Honest to God. This Jew .
Congratulations tbh
Only film of his I enjoyed was Billy Madison, but it's been a decade since I've seen it. Like has been said, I have no idea if I'd still like it.
Not sure I've seen a Sandler film since Funny People (which I gave a chance to because of the R rating), other than pieces of Grown Ups here and there.
But as has been said already, Funny People was truly horrible.
From the ones I've seen, Jack & Jill and That's My Boy.

Grown Ups looked so bad in previews. Is the movie even worse than the preview?
The ones that are worth a damn:
Waterboy
Happy Gilmore
Billy Madison
Big Daddy
Wedding Singer
The ones that are meh:
Click
Bedtime Stories
Longest Yard
50 first dates
The rest are complete
Oh yeah it's bad.
And I like Kevin James but him being shoved in there as the Chris Farley replacement is an inhumane travesty.
ing terribly worse. At least the trailer is over within a minute or so. If I would have been dumb enough to see that in theaters I would have left and got refunded for sure.
Grandma's Boy is great too, Sandlers just not in it which is for the best.
Adam Sandler is the Tyler Perry of non-black people. That's how bad he's been the last ten years.
LOL at this thread discussing and comparing Sandler's work in Grown Ups compared to Billy Madison.
Like comparing DeNiro's subpar Ronin vs Taxi Driver.
I watched Grown Ups with my daughter and her friend. It was easily worth the $1.99 to sit there and have a couple of laughs and not worry about graphic sex or violence. Hard to find comedy movies in that ratings range that you can watch as a family.
Anyone that pays to go to the theater to see any movie with Adam Sandler is just a dumbass.
So you're probably a huge fan of Ice Cube's recent work too then?
Waterboy sucked, but I really haven't seen any of his later movies.
LOL. What recent work? I did see whatever that was when he went on a trip with his family and it was fine.
It wasn't as funny as Friday or as poignant as Boys in the Hood. But I can't really sit down and watch those with my daughter.
Being a parent means you are going to have to settle for some subpar movies IF you want to watch something with your kid. So there is always a qualifier in my mind.
Yeah, that was good FOR a cartoon.
Yeah, that was OK FOR a kids movie.
etc.
It's not like I see the trailer and think, "oh SNAP, Toothfairy 2 is coming out mother ers!!!!" But in my head, I'm thinking that that I'd rather see that than the Hanna Montana movie.
Luckily my oldest is 7 so I can just watch the Disney animated movies with him, they're usually pretty good for kids movies.. my life though after he convinced me to watch Super Buddies with him. Never again.
Yeah. That's a good age for movies. And with that newer crop, the producers were kind enough to throw in some jokes for the parents. Shrek was a great movie for any age. LOL at Super Buddies. I've seen all of those plenty of times.
It's gotten better now that they are turning a lot of the teen books into movies. The Hunger Games were all pretty good. And we'll watch R movies with her if they're for things like language or minimal violence. And there have been lots of PG 13 horror movies recently. Most suck but some are all right.
But those years in between were filled with...well...Toothfairy, Air Bud, and yes...Grown Ups.
Cube would probably be the first one to say it's all the same. Just about earning dollaz.
Make no mistake, this isn't Chuck D fighting the power.
That's My Boy and Don't Mess With The Zohan.
Honorable Mention: Airheads. Watched it on Netflix a couple months back, and didn't even finish watching it.
Honestly, Air Bud movies aren't the worst. I enjoy them a lot more than most summer "feel good" comedies.
The only thing that he's done in the last 5, 10 years that's actually any good is Hotel Transylvania.
Basically.
I liked the longest yard, but not necessarily because of Sandler. It was a pretty cool casting job and everybody contributed. Click was pretty good during the first half and then got emo and boring in the 2nd half
