does anyone have footage of Gervin doing crossovers:?
We know the Spurs top three is:
1) Duncan - Top 5 NBA player of all time
2) Robinson - Top 10 to 20 player of all time
3) Gervin - Top 30 player of all time
But who comes next?
Ginobili, for those who have seen him in his prime, and appreciate all the subtleties he brings to the game, would surely put him high up there.
Elliott, an under-appreciated small forward who had a lightening quick first step, developed a decent outside shot, and was a very good defensive player in his prime
Alvin Robertson - Defensive player of the year, only wing player to ever register a quadruple double, but his off-court issues definitely put a damper on things. I always thought that he was overrated though, his defense was a lot of gambling
Artis Gilmore - one of the strongest post player of all time. Too bad he spent most of his prime in the ABA
Larry Kenon - Extraordinary rebounder and defender. He was ahead of his time, and would fit in today's game perfectly (if he developed more range). Great passer as well
Tony Parker - for all the hate he gets, he had a few absolutely phenomenal seasons
Johnny Moore - The first in a long line of Spurs PG who can't really shoot. But boy can he pass and run the point.
Then there's Kawhi. Young, exception defensive player (most of the time), he still struggles with double teams, and can improve his ball-handling, but he has a good outside shot, can drive to the rim, has good athleticism, can create his own shot. He already won a FMVP, which puts him as the second Spur to ever win one, and he's still very young with lots of room to grow.
At this point, I'd put him behind Manu and Kenon, but eventually, I think he has the ability to surpass both of them, and even an outside shot of going past Gervin.
Another question, how does the Spurs best players compare to some of the other storied franchises like the Celtics, Lakers, Knicks, Pistons, Chicago and Blazers?

Up and under, bank shots, left hand, right hand, scoop shots, outside shots, going left, going right, floaters, reverses, and of course, the finger roll.
Gervin can do it all on offense. He was like a mix of Drexler and Reggie Miller.

Ice never had Duncan playing next to him and Pop to coach him either.
Not to mention he played in a league that would decimate other teams' rosters to ensure a Lakers finals appearance every year (granted, Kawhi played in a league where the Lakers shoot 20+ FTs in the 4th quarter of elimination games three times in a decade, but at least Kawhi get to keep his teammates).

Dude won you the 14' ring though, without him you're light one. Just like I said many years ago, dude's just a glorified Josh Howard. He can be a perfect #2 or #3 on a championship contending team or the #1 of an average to scrub team, tbh.

Would that be DRob level before OR after the arrival and affect of Duncan? Big difference. (before) would take an order of excavation to get to it. You ers treated David Robinson like a second class citizen. Called him weak, mermaid, loser, a Tom, soft and incapable.
