Was watching the news this morning and saw some less than attractive parents show up to school....my reason was different.., I hated when my mom showed up because guys would say she's hot and I would get into fights. I told her to never come to my school again. In fact I told my pops what was going on and he wouldnt let her come...

But if you're a fat re parent dont embarass your kids by showing up to school....its a very stressful event...

I remember one time I became ill at school, must have been about 9 (1963)...and the nurse had to call home. I thought my mom would come, but, my father came instead and I was so embarrassed I was close to tears. He came with his brother, both worked at the Chevy plant there in the Cleveland area and they came from the plant in their work clothes, both farm boys from Alabama. I never said anything about it to my dad then, or for the rest of his life. As the years passed I never forgot it, my feelings providing me guilt as the years trampled on. Now? Now:::"I'd give everything I own just to touch him again."
