Looks like the Cuban lung cancer drug extends life 6 months. Not very much better than BigPharma's cancer racket.
The big difference is the Cuban drug is free. Those ing humanitarian, pro-citizen socialists.
They need to subscribe to the for-profit, -you-for-all-your-money American "free market" system.
In USA, BigPharma, sucking down $100Bs annually in failed "end of life care" (aka, primum nocere to BigMedicine's bottom line ) would charge at very, very least $10K/month for those six months, and make you uselessly sick as a dog, aka "Quality of Life" in the ter, for those 6 and many earlier months, and the BigPharma cancer treatment would probably kill you quicker than the cancer would.
Look at it from their perspective.
That's six months longer they can drain a dying person's money away!
In Cuba, the drug is free. If BigPharma, can obtain it and patent it, it will cost $100K

They get free vaccines though.
I hear their hurricane preparedness is top notch, though we refused their offer of help in the aftermath of Katrina.
There was a lot of help turned down, as I recall.
We sort of got caught with our pants down, or really didn't care. Hard to tell which.
