He had more votes than Kyrie or Klay. Just a function of playing at a more stacked position, when guard was incredibly weak beyond the top four.
I'm sure he's fine with DPOY and first team all defense. Oh and that MVP trophy from last June - only two guys on the list have a finals MVP to their name (Duncan / Lebron).
I'd feel worse for Leonard if he had been in this position last year and as a result of being left off, lost out on a potential Rose rule max contract. He's a year too late to the party.
I was gonna , but dpoy is the better prize. Also winning a playoffs series and playing Matt Barnes. But all is good

Next year Leonard is going to have a monster year, if he's healthy. I see him taking a big step on offense and he already is arguably the best defender in the NBA (he won the top defensive award).

he aint having a monster year playing for the spurs because 1. popovich is gonna limit his minutes. 2, parker still won't pass him the ball. if he were smart, he'd get the out of san antonio, cuz it's gonna hurt him playing with parker.. Parker seriously doesn't give a about anything but shooting right now
Nonsense. He got plenty of shots, and to a fault, passed up many of them. Parker isn't shooting 30 times a game. You might have a point if Westbrook was the point guard, as he'll readily shoot 35 times in a game. Parker doesn't shoot near that much. And it's wrong to say Leonard should leave. I mean he won a le and an MVP finals trophy. If he got drafted by a crappy team in the lottery, he probably doesn't develop the same jumper or make the playoffs in the first 4 years of his career.
i agree. had he stayed with indiana, he wouldn't be as good now. Look how well Gerald Green did when he left there. but parker WILL NOT pass that ball to leonard or danny green for some reason. I swear, every game when leonard was in transition or open for a 3 in the 1st round, parker looked him off. U see it, I see it, everyone sees it. It's not a secret.
