This is pretty random and purely speculative but thought I'd share it for s and giggles:

Nah, she can't teach Danny Green to do layups. She lacks experience, but probably is already better than Byron Scott, Doc Rivers, Mike Brown, Vinnie Del Negro and Scott Brooks. Women like the details, and it makes enormous difference at basketball. And sports coaches aren't the smartest people in the world.
Is not important, by the way I see Messina as a woman too.
Shocker...I guess we can add misogynist along with racist and bigot to your short list of intolerance's.
The URL ends with "should-the-pelicans-and-dell-demps-consider-becky-hammon-for-head"
Subtle tbh.....
No offense to Hammond but if she cannot turn around a team in a year or two they could lose Anthony Davis to free agency in the future. This guy is not for fame. He's for a championship and Hammond's lack of coaching experience may not guaranty him one while he's still young. The WC is loaded with really good coaches.
And that would be wasting a talent in Davis.
Asst. Coach perhaps. But not HC.
she isn't ready. She needs to stay with Pop for a few more years. Then, she needs to move on to someone like Kerr or Bud for a few years. Then, she can use all that gained knowledge to try and be a quality HC in the league.
What they really need is a competent GM and some decent PR recruitment to get FA roll players. It's almost as if they wanted to stay in the lottery for as long as possible and only reluctantly became a playoff team when durant went down and the suns gutted their roster
If the Pelicans hire Becky, it would be for purely symbolic purposes. I'm sure she has a great basketball mind and outstanding potential, but she's a novice assistant coach with only one year of experience coaching in the NBA. Her time may come eventually, but that time is not now.
