Always been a classless organization Dale, you and I know it.
I apologize profusely Byron Scott...here's your money...goodbye....
Welcome Tom....
Always been a classless organization Dale, you and I know it.
You know there are some nervous head coaches today.
Why did OKC rush with the Donovan hire?
I meant "hacking"---you ers had me thinkin' of the Kobe.
tee, hee.
Don't know, but could you imagine how fast Westbrook's knee and Durant's foot would explode if Thibs was the coach? He would have each of them playing 45 minutes a night come or high water.
Who would want to hire this guy after years of being too ing stubborn to improve his offense.
I'd hire him for our defensive coordinator.
That's about it and that's what he was before all of this. Thibs probably never attempted to evolve as a coach. Once a coach is running the show, they have to be effective on both ends. Wouldn't be surprised if teams passed on him as a head coach on count of a stagnant offensive and defensive philosophy.
He's a rich man's scott skiles currently. Both too damn stubborn to be innovative or apply new tactics.
Yeah, you might win 28 games then...
He is stubborn, but you need some of that.
He's heading to the Pelicans, tbh.

1- Thibodeau has coached 1 talented roster in his entire career as Bulls coach, and they finished with a top 5 offense(2011)
2- Out of the 30 coaches in the NBA, 20 of them are either average or bad..being a specialist like Thibodeau automatically gives him the edge over the majority of them
Thibodeau became underrated due to his major flaw as a coach(playing his guys too much) and a casualty of the Bulls propaganda..they are overrated every year(as I've been saying for years) due to the names on their roster, rather than their actual production, which is typical of NBA fans and media..outside of Jimmy Butler, that roster was extremely flawed, this year, and their team isn't going anywhere until they rid themselves of Rose, obviously..
Tough to coach a team full of 1-dimensional players(Noah, Rose, Gasol, Gibson, Mirotic, Dunleavy) and only 1 guy that actually produces on both ends(Butler)..they will be exposed once Thibs is gone, reminds me of Harbaugh with the 49ers IMO..
Anyways, Thibodeau does need to learn how to adapt to today's game in regards to resting players and not acting like it's the 90s from a personality perspective..the drill Sargent grows old with today's players..I imagine he'll learn from this, similar to what happened with Tom Coughlin and the Giants in the NFL..
I don't think he would have been a good fit with OKC, I don't see him getting along with Westbrook, but ya, their defense could have been elite, and they wouldn't have needed him to do much on offense..Pelicans could be a good choice, though, despite Davis' injury concerns and the potential of Thibodeau overplaying him..their defense was poor, last year, they desperately need a defensive system..
I would love the Lakers to snap him up. Not likely though.
Did they really throw his ass under the bus like that?
“The Chicago Bulls have a history of achieving great success on and off the court. These accomplishments have been possible because of an organizational culture where input from all parts of the organization has been welcomed and valued, there has been a willingness to participate in a free flow of information, and there have been clear and consistent goals. While the head of each department of the organization must be free to make final decisions regarding his department, there must be free and open interdepartmental discussion and consideration of everyone's ideas and opinions. These internal discussions must not be considered an invasion of turf, and must remain private. Teams that consistently perform at the highest levels are able to come together and be unified across the organization-staff, players, coaches, management and ownership. When everyone is on the same page, trust develops and teams can grow and succeed together. Unfortunately, there has been a departure from this culture. To ensure that the Chicago Bulls can continue to grow and succeed, we have decided that a change in the head coaching position is required. Days like today are difficult, but necessary for us to achieve our goals and fulfill our commitments to our fans. I appreciate the contributions that Tom Thibodeau made to the Bulls organization. I have always respected his love of the game and wish him well in the future.”
"When Tom was hired in 2010, he was right for our team and system at that time, and over the last five years we have had some success with Tom as our head coach,” said Chicago Bulls General Manager Gar Forman. “But as we looked ahead and evaluated how we as a team and an organization could continue to grow and improve, we believed a change in approach was needed."-Reinsdorf
